What's Being Addressed

This Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign (SC268) specifically targets the fuel filler neck vent collar in certain 2023 Kia Sportage vehicles. Approximately 3,358 Sportage vehicles are included in this campaign. The affected vehicles were produced at a Kia assembly plant in the U.S.

How to Check if Your Vehicle is Affected

This campaign applies to certain 2023 Kia Sportage vehicles manufactured between November 17, 2022, and January 18, 2023. Owners of affected vehicles will receive a notification by first-class mail. If you own a 2023 Kia Sportage fuel filler neck, you can also contact your local authorized Kia dealer or Kia Customer Care to verify if your specific vehicle is included.

Manufacturer's Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be asked to contact their authorized Kia dealer to have the fuel filler neck vent collar inspected. If the vent collar port is found to be partially blocked, the fuel filler vent neck collar will be replaced. The inspection and any necessary replacement will be performed at no cost to the customer.

Owner Action

Owners will be notified by first-class mail starting July 7, 2023. Upon receiving notification, you should contact your local authorized Kia dealership to schedule an appointment for the inspection and potential replacement of the 2023 Kia Sportage fuel filler neck vent collar. The actual time to inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel filler neck vent collar may be less than an hour, but the total time for the repair can vary based on the dealer's work schedule.
