A, dated April 2025, to address an issue where replacement exterior mirror glass connectors may not match the existing wiring for the blind spot monitor system. Why This Matters

During 2024 production, an engineering change was implemented for exterior mirrors, specifically altering the design of the glass blind spot indicator. The original "early mirror glass" design, which featured an early blind spot indicator, is no longer available through MOPAR. Instead, a "new mirror glass" design with an updated blind spot monitor indicator is now supplied for all model years for both production and service. This new design features a different connector for the blind spot indicator, creating an incompatibility with older vehicle wiring.

To resolve this, an adapting jumper harness has been developed. This harness allows the new mirror glass to be properly installed with the early mirror wiring, ensuring the blind spot monitor system functions correctly. When replacing exterior mirror glass on affected vehicles, technicians may find that the connector on the new mirror glass does not directly plug into the vehicle's existing wiring harness if the vehicle has the older mirror design. Specifically, if an old mirror requires replacement glass, both a service glass and the jumper harness must be ordered. If a newer mirror requires replacement glass, only the service glass is necessary. This ensures the correct Jeep Wrangler mirror connector is achieved.
