For technicians performing the repair, a battery charger must be installed to maintain voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts during the flash process. The charging voltage must not exceed 13.5 volts. If the flash process is interrupted, it should be restarted.

After applying TSB 08-027-26, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A data.

Failure Codes

When submitting a claim, the appropriate failure code must be used:

• RF (Required Flash - RSU): This code is used for essential module flash/reprogramming when the VIN is confirmed on the RSU list. It can no longer be used for general TSB flashes.
• CC (Customer Concern): This code is used if the customer's reported symptom matches the conditions described in the TSB, and the 3C's (Concern, Cause, Correction) must be supplied.
