What's the Issue?

Stellantis has identified a manufacturing issue that can affect the turn signal lever in certain 2024-2026 Jeep Compass, Renegade, Commander, and RAM Rampage vehicles. This issue, detailed in TSB 08-218-25 REV. B, can prevent the turn signal lever from automatically returning to the neutral position or cancelling after a turn.

This bulletin supersedes the previous TSB 08-218-25 REV. A, issued on August 1, 2025. It has also been released as Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-139, dated July 18, 2025. All repairs related to this issue are reimbursable under warranty provisions.

Symptoms

Owners of affected vehicles may experience the following symptom:

• The "Turn signal lever does not return or cancel."

This means that after making a turn, the driver must manually move the turn signal lever back to the off position, as it will not automatically disengage. This can be a nuisance and potentially lead to the turn signal remaining active unintentionally.

Affected Vehicle Build Dates

This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after June 30, 2024 (MDH 0630XX) and on or before April 25, 2025 (MDH 0425XX). While the model years are 2024-2026, the specific build date range is crucial for determining applicability.

Diagnosis

To determine if your vehicle is affected, a technician will first check your VIN against the Rapid Service Update (RSU) VIN list. If your vehicle's VIN is on this list, the repair procedure outlined in TSB 08-218-25 REV. B should be performed. If your vehicle is not on the RSU VIN list but exhibits the symptom of the Jeep Compass turn signal lever not cancelling, the repair procedure should still be followed.

The diagnostic steps involve:

1. Starting the vehicle.
2. Activating the left turn signal.
3. Turning the steering wheel fully to the left stop, then returning it to the center position to observe if the turn signal lever automatically returns.
4. Repeating the process for the right turn signal.
5. If either the left or right turn signal does not automatically return or cancel, the issue is confirmed.

Repair Procedure Summary

The repair for the Jeep Compass turn signal lever issue involves inspecting and, if necessary, replacing the turn signal lever. If the diagnostic steps confirm the symptom, the technician will proceed with the following:

1. Inspection: An initial inspection is performed to confirm the malfunction. This step is covered by Labor Operation Number 08-19-27-94, with an estimated labor time of 0.2 hours.
2. Replacement (if needed): If the turn signal lever is confirmed to be faulty, it will be replaced. After completing the repair, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A forms.
