4. Dampening Material Application: 3M 04274 Dampening Material is then applied to the masked area. This is done using a 3M 08571 Manual Cartridge Applicator and an 08193 Mixing Tip, building up the material to a thickness of 0.28 inches (7mm). The material can be force-dried to speed up the process, as illustrated in Figure 2.
5. Fascia Installation: After the dampening material has dried, the front fascia is reinstalled following the same DealerCONNECT/Service Library procedures used for removal.
