Hyundai Elantra Inoperable Horn Warranty Extension Details

Hyundai has extended the warranty coverage for the horn replacement due to an inoperable horn condition. This extended warranty now covers 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of original retail delivery or first use. This coverage applies to both original and subsequent owners of the affected vehicles.

This warranty extension covers vehicles even if they are outside the original 5 years or 60,000 miles new vehicle limited warranty. The affected models include certain 2021-2025 Hyundai Elantra (CN7) non N-Line and N-Line, Elantra (CN7A), Elantra N (CN7 N), and Elantra Hybrid (CN7 HEV) vehicles. Specific production date ranges for these models are detailed in the service bulletin.

Repair Procedure Summary

If your vehicle experiences an inoperable horn and is eligible under this warranty extension, the repair involves replacing the horn assembly. This procedure is to be performed according to the instructions outlined in Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 25-BE-005H-2 (or its latest version). The repair will be completed at no cost to the customer.

Hyundai recommends that this repair be performed by a Hyundai Certified technician or higher. Dealers are advised to ensure they have the appropriate parts, tools, and equipment on hand if a customer schedules an appointment in advance.

Required Parts for Horn Assembly Replacement

To address the inoperable horn issue, specific horn assembly part numbers are required for replacement. These include:

• Low Pitch Horn Assembly: P/N 96611AA700QQH, P/N 96611AA900QQH, or P/N 96611AA800QQH.
• High Pitch Horn Assembly: P/N 96621AA700QQH, P/N 96621AA900QQH, or P/N 96621AA800QQH.

It is important to note that all listed part numbers will require a valid Warranty Extension VIN for ordering.

Important Owner Information

Hyundai will be notifying affected customers about this warranty extension via First Class Mail in June 2025. If your vehicle is within the extended period of 10 years or 120,000 miles, dealers are instructed to submit the claim as a campaign claim type and do not submit as warranty.

Should your vehicle need to be kept overnight for the repair, Hyundai recommends that alternative transportation, such as a Service Rental Vehicle (SRC), 3rd Party Rental, or Rideshare, be provided to customers.
