Qualifying Conditions for Inspection

For a vehicle to be considered for this special inspection, it must meet several strict requirements. Honda is interested ONLY if the vehicle satisfies all the following conditions:

• For Civic models, only EX, SI, and Touring trim levels are accepted.
• The dealer must confirm that the A/C system is inoperative (INOP) due to a seized compressor.
• The dealer must confirm there are no leaks in the HVAC system. This confirmation requires the use of a leak detector (sniffer).
• The vehicle must not have had any prior HVAC repair work. This includes A/C refrigerant evacuation, recharge, or replacement of any HVAC components.
• No repair attempts should be made during the current visit to the dealership for this issue.
