Diagnosis

To diagnose the problem, technicians must perform a thorough inspection of the wiper console. The procedure involves removing the engine compartment cover on the left rear (driver's side) to gain access.

A borescope or mirror is then used to check the wiper console for any cracks or breakage, especially around the rotary housing. If no issues are found during the initial inspection, a more detailed examination is required around the upper mounting brace near the center of the bulkhead, after removing the bulkhead seal.

Repair Procedure Summary

If cracks or breakage are identified in the wiper console, the repair involves replacing the entire wiper console assembly.
