Symptoms

Owners of 2023-2024 Audi A3, S3, and RS3 models may notice that their selected call list and/or media list is only displayed in the instrument cluster for a few seconds. Following this brief display, the list is discarded, and the message “No entries available” appears on the instrument cluster display. This issue indicates a problem with the instrument cluster's ability to properly retrieve and show this information.

1. Activate DoIP: Ensure Diagnostic over Internet Protocol (DoIP) is active in ODIS. This is crucial for flashing control modules in supported vehicles.
2. Start Update: Initiate the software update on the workshop tester by selecting "flash" and entering the specified SVM code.
3. Update Instrument Cluster: Update the instrument cluster (diagnostic address 0017) to software version 7391 using SVM code 17A051. Follow all instructions provided by the tester.

Important Warnings

Technicians must adhere to specific procedures for this update. Always use DoIP when flashing a control module via ODIS in supported vehicles. To activate DoIP, select Administration >> General >> GFF Process >> DoIP communication >> Only allow DoIP communication. This setting will automatically reset when the diagnostic session ends. DoIP is active if a red LED is observed on the VAS 6154(A).
