Identifying Headlights for Return

Dealers must carefully inspect their inventory to determine which headlight units need to be returned. The criteria for identifying a "good" headlight, which should not be returned, are based on either its production date or the presence of a specific "Green Mark":

• Good Headlights: Units produced on or after May 31, 2024 (31.05.2024) are considered good and should be kept. Alternatively, any headlight unit that features a visible "Green Mark" is also considered good, regardless of its production date.
• Headlights to be Returned: Conversely, only headlight units that were produced prior to May 31, 2024, and do not have a "Green Mark", must be returned. The "Green Mark" is a distinct green dot or sticker, typically found on the headlight unit itself, indicating a revised or approved version of the part. The production date is usually stamped directly on the component, often in a DD.MM.YY format, as shown in the example image with "21.05.24". Important Deadlines and Instructions for Dealers

To ensure prompt credit and efficient inventory management, dealers must return the identified headlight units to their facing PDC no later than September 24, 2024. The following claims procedures must be followed:

1. File a separate "Claim with Return" by selecting "Dlr Sup. Req. Return" under the item type. Complete dealer comments with the Special Notice Number SM 52-2024 and Parts Circular number.
2. Review "Parts On Command" the following day for the Delivery List document. Contact your PDC for any issues.
3. Enter your 40000XXXXX delivery document number on a YELLOW DEPOT REQUEST RETURN label.
4. Adhere the YELLOW DEPOT REQUEST RETURN label to the package(s) containing the returned parts.
5. Include one copy of the Delivery Document with the returned part(s).

Warning: Items returned after the September 24, 2024, deadline WILL NOT be accepted on any type of return/buyback.
