Symptoms

Owners may observe several symptoms related to this issue. The primary concern is that the head-up display cannot be turned on. Additionally, the Multi Media Interface (MMI) display may periodically show the message: "The selected system is currently unavailable".

Another significant symptom is the potential for the 12V vehicle battery to be drained. This can occur because the head-up display control module, when frozen due to a software error, prevents the vehicle's data-bus system from entering its normal sleep mode.

This is done by navigating to Administration >> General >> GFF Process >> DoIP communication >> Only allow DoIP communication. This setting will reset after the diagnostic session.
2. Head-Up Display Reset: The head-up display must be reset by removing its fuse for approximately 5 minutes. For Audi Q7, Q8, and e-tron models, this is fuse SF4. For Audi A6 and A7 models, it is fuse SG4.
3. SVM Update Instructions: Technicians must follow the instructions in TSB 2011732: "00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions."
