Before a new Audi vehicle is delivered to a customer, it undergoes a thorough Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) to ensure it meets the manufacturer's stringent quality and safety standards. This detailed checklist, applicable to the 2021 Audi A4 and S4 models, guides certified Audi technicians through a series of essential checks and configurations.

The PDI process is critical for verifying proper functionality of all systems, identifying any potential issues, and preparing the vehicle for immediate use. For owners of a 2021 Audi A4 or S4, understanding this Audi A4 PDI checklist provides insight into the meticulous preparation your vehicle receives.

Key Reminders for Technicians

Audi emphasizes several critical reminders for technicians performing the PDI:

  • All inspection items must be completed by a certified Audi technician prior to customer delivery.
  • An Audi approved battery charger should be used to prevent excessive battery discharge during the inspection process.
  • Guided Fault Finding must be utilized, and the session completed and sent to GFF Paperless.
  • The Total PDI Test must be completed before any other work involving the scan tool.
  • Guided Fault Finding should begin with the engine running to identify control modules in transport mode.

Vehicle Preparation and Initial Checks

This section of the Audi A4 PDI checklist focuses on initial setup and verification:
