SEATS
The Driver Side Seat Trim (Part 71806-0C102-C0) has cracked and under all estimates, it cracked around 30,000 to 35,000 miles. It appears, based on online searches, this has been a common problem with the the Toyota Tundra. I failed to schedule enough time on the 35K oil change, elected to get it addressed on the 41K oil change, only to find out it was not a warranty item, knowing good and well it was something Toyota has been replacing regularly. There's no reason this part shouldn't support the driver without cracking. I'm only 180 lbs. Replacement cost was $196.42 but that's $196.42 more than one should have to pay for a new vehicle part replacement with a known problem which appears to be very common. There's a flaw in the design and the material.

ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
There is a bad throttle lag. Sometimes when you pull out onto the road it lags so bad that you can’t build speed quick enough for merging into traffic.

ENGINE
I am the original owner of a 2024 Toyota Tundra Limited Nightshade equipped with the 3.4L twin-turbo V6 engine, purchased brand-new from Kerry Toyota in Florence, Kentucky, in July 2024. The vehicle is titled and registered in Indiana. At approximately 33,000 miles, my truck experienced an unexpected engine shutdown while driving highway speeds. I brought it to an authorized Toyota dealership- Kerry Toyota, Florence Kentucky for inspection, but was informed that no issues were found after they had the truck for weeks. Now, at approximately 41,000 miles, my truck has experienced another engine shutdown while traveling approximately 50 mph. After sitting for about 10 minutes, the engine restarted slowly and began making a knocking noise. The truck is currently at a Toyota dealership- Kerry Toyota awaiting inspection. I am extremely concerned about the safety of this vehicle, particularly because I previously reported a similar shutdown and the underlying issue was not identified or resolved.

SERVICE BRAKES, POWER TRAIN, ENGINE
Since about 5,000 miles I reported abnormal tire wear, alignment, harsh or delayed shifting, and braking problems to the dealer. Repair orders from January 2024 to December 2025 show about 7 dealer visits: rear brake work three times including a rear pad replacement around 22,000 miles and an earlier rotor replacement, two drivetrain/shifting visits (first was could not duplicate) plus recall 24TA02, a check engine light diagnosis, and moisture corrosion in the reverse lamps that disabled the backup lamps and camera. The dealer denied the reverse lamp repair as commercial use and I paid 957.37 in January 2025; Toyota later issued recall 25TA06 for the same water intrusion. My truck is also covered by engine stall recall 25TA14 (NHTSA 26V320), but the dealer reported the remedy was not available in December 2025. Losing the backup camera and lamps and an engine that may stall are safety risks, especially when towing and reversing a boat trailer.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Subject: NHTSA Safety Complaint: Sudden Engine Seizure and Loss of Motive Power – 2024 Toyota Tundra (Recall 25V767 Alignment) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a critical safety complaint regarding a life-threatening mechanical failure. On XXX, while driving at highway cruising speeds under normal operating conditions (no towing or payload), my vehicle suffered an abrupt, complete internal engine seizure and a total loss of motive power. Simultaneously, the instrument cluster displayed a "Pull over to level ground, oil hot" thermal alert, indicating an acute, systemic mechanical breakdown. This failure sequence directly aligns with NHTSA Recall 25V767 (Toyota Recall 25TA14 / 25TB14), which addresses permanent main bearing destruction caused by manufacturing debris left inside the V35A engine block. My local dealer, [XXX] Toyota, intends to process this repair under an extended warranty. I strongly reject this classification. Because this catastrophic failure perfectly matches the technical parameters and safety risks of an active federal campaign, it must be handled strictly under the purview of the federal recall framework. I request that NHTSA document this event to ensure Toyota is held accountable under its recall mandate. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] | [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V320000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving or accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated for 5–6 seconds before accelerating as intended, with a ticking sound coming from the engine. Additionally, the contact saw puddles of oil on the garage floor, and there was an abnormal burning oil odor coming from the vehicle. Several dealers and the manufacturer were notified of the failure by phone; however, a diagnostic test was denied, and the contact was advised to wait until parts for the recall repair were available to repair the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SEAT BELTS
Front seat belt alarm randomly goes off indicating that the seatbelt is not buckled. This occurs randomly at times 3-5 time a day or days without incident. I feel my safety is at risk because the vehicle does sense that the driver or passenger is buckled. Does this have an impact on other safety features like the airbags deloying? If there are no direct safety impacts, there is also the impact of it distracting the driver and causing an accident. The problem is so random that the dealer has not reproduced it. However, I have video evidence of it occurring and Toyota still does nothing. Inspected only by Toyota during service. No- not regarding specifically this issue but the truck also has numerous other electronic glitches to say.

TIRES
The contact owned a 2024 Toyota Tundra equipped with Falken Tires, Tire Line: Wildpeak A/T3WA, Tire Size: 265/60/R20, DOT Number: [XXX]. The contact stated that all four tires were prematurely worn, with the steel belts visible. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the tread wear failure was characteristic of the type vehicles due to the factory alignment configuration, allowing for the abnormal wearing of the tires. The dealer was notified of the failure but declined to assist. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The contact was notified by the manufacturer that there was a TSB for the failure; however, the vehicle was not included in the repair. The vehicle failure mileage was 38,000. The tire failure mileage was 28,000. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

ENGINE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING
On Saturday, XXX, while driving on [XXX] toward [XXX], our 2024 Toyota Tundra (VIN: [XXX]) lost power and stalled at highway speeds with the warning: "Ignition On / Engine Off – Stop in a safe place." I made an emergency lane change with 6 vehicles trailing closely. After smoke expelled during restart attempts, Toyota Roadside towed the truck to Goldsboro Toyota at 5:15 PM. On Monday,XXX, Goldsboro Toyota exhibited negligent, misleading treatment. A receptionist falsely claimed they "ordered a new engine" for the recall and refused to release the truck to Midlands Toyota near our home in [XXX]. Despite written instructions on the intake form, we waited 7 hours with no update. On Friday, XXX, Toyota Corporate contradicted the dealer, confirming no technical remedy or engine currently exists for active federal Safety Recall 25TA14 (NHTSA [XXX]). This catastrophic engine failure created an extreme safety hazard that severely triggered my wife’s diagnosed ADHD and depression (Eggshell Plaintiff Doctrine). The dealer’s refusal to release our truck also disrupted my work during a critical corporate shareholder transition. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and state breach of warranty laws, we demand a Full Manufacturer Repurchase (Buyback): 1. Full payoff of our remaining loan balance to our lender. 2. Complete refund of all out-of-pocket payments: down payment, all $824 monthly payments, sales taxes, and county fees. 3. Full reimbursement for direct expenses and tax penalties. 4. Non-economic cash settlement for severe hardship, safety risks, and aggravated emotional distress. 5. 100% coverage of all statutory attorney’s fees as required by law. POWER TRAIN
I was driving when the car suddenly lost power and speed. The accelerator stopped working properly. Immediately, the check engine light came on for the first time on the instrument panel, along with the "Stop Parking" alert. I immediately called for a tow truck to take me to the nearest Toyota dealership.Toyota employees informed me that the transmission is damaged and needs to be replaced. I acknowledge that my 2024 Toyota Tundra has 100,000 miles.and that the factory warranty only covers up to 60,000 miles. But for such an expensive truck, it’s impossible for the transmissions to have a lifespan of only 100,000 miles.

ENGINE
When I was driving the engine failed . I have a 2024 hybrid, they are fixing the engine and parts but my frustration is 2024 gas tundra had a recall on the engine and they got a whole new engine with extra warranty , and I'm the first hybrid to have engine fail and since they haven't put a recall out I only get 1 year warranty and they are just replacing the parts not the whole engine . I'm concerned it can happen again past the one year warranty . They need to put out a recall on the hybrids too

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications for NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V322000 (Exterior Lighting) and 25V767000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts to perform the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and vibrated abnormally and lost motive power, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle and drove to the dealer for diagnosis; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the torque converter, transmission, and rear differential were previously replaced to stop the shuddering and vibration while accelerating; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to repair the vehicle within a reasonable amount of time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
On XXX6, while driving on the highway at approximately 89 mph and 36,714 miles, the engine misfired and the vehicle began shaking. The check engine light started flashing and a "reduced power, visit dealer" message appeared, along with a loss of motive power. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on XXX at 37,032 miles. The dealer's repair order documents stored diagnostic trouble codes for random misfires, and states that freeze frame data confirmed misfires on cylinders 3, 4 and 5 at 89 mph and 2700 rpm in direct injection mode. Despite this, the repair order was closed as "no issue found." No repair and no further diagnosis was performed. The dealer stated the condition could not be duplicated after driving the vehicle and idling it for about an hour. The vehicle is subject to an open safety recall for machining debris in the engine (NHTSA 25V767, manufacturer 25TB14), for which no remedy is available. The recall summary lists engine knocking, rough running, no-start and loss of motive power as symptoms, and instructs owners experiencing symptoms to contact their dealer. When contacted, the dealer stated the manufacturer is still developing a remedy and that the vehicle can either wait indefinitely or be picked up as is. The defect remains undiagnosed and unrepaired. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety concern is a sudden loss of motive power at highway speed, which is the same risk identified in the manufacturer's own recall filing. No remedy has been made available more than ten months after the recall was filed. Video of the failure as it occurred, showing the check engine light flashing and the loss of power: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, BACK OVER PREVENTION
The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40-45 MPH, the radio started blinking, and the vehicle lost power and stopped in the middle of the road. The contact was able to restart the vehicle; however, there was a burning odor, and white smoke was coming from the HVAC system and the engine compartment. The contact turned off and exited the vehicle and the smoking stopped. The contact called the local Police to assist with directing traffic while waiting for towing assistance. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer attempted to return the vehicle to the contact after 3 weeks without confirmation of the diagnostic results or any repairs. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer before the failure had occurred to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V767000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), 25V322000 (Exterior Lighting), 26V038000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the dealer failed to complete the recall repair because there was not enough mechanics to perform the repairs. The manufacturer was informed of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.
