SummaryDTC B2E1B-06 (AUTOMATIC ECALL) STORED AS CURRENT IN IVC SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES that come equipped with a factory installed SOS switch, located near the overhead map lamp, also come equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active NissanConnect® Services subscription, the TCU communicates with the Nissan Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. 1. When diagnosing DTC B2E1B-06 (AUTOMATIC ECALL) on an APPLIED VEHICLE: ï· If DTC B2E1B-06 is not âCRNTâ in the IVC, DO NOT replace the TCU. Erase the DTC. No further steps are needed. ï· If DTC B2E1B-06 is âCRNTâ in the IVC, replace the TCU. o Refer to the ESM: REPAIR > DRIVER INFORMATION & MULTIMEDIA > AUDIO, VISUAL & NAVIGATION SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > TCU

Use the vehicle tables in this bulletin to determine the current software version, if the AV Control Unit requires a software version update, and which procedure to use to update the AV Control Unit. The software updates in this bulletin are to address stability improvements and âbugâ fixes. IMPORTANT: If the client is experiencing a software related concern, refer to ITB21-011 to verify if the client concern is a hardware or software related issue. If the concern is a software related issue, review the information in this bulletin to update the AV Control Unit as needed.
