Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Infinity Q50, Q60, and QX80 vehicles. A software error may deactivate the audio/video control unit screen, preventing the rear-view image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020 Nissan Murano, INFINITI QX60, 2021 Nissan GT-R, INFINITI QX50, and Q50 vehicles. The front steering knuckle or rear axle housing may have insufficient strength due to improper heat-treatment.
Nissan North America, Inc. (INFINITI) is recalling certain 2021 INFINITI Q50 and Q60 vehicles. After detecting rapid acceleration, the Engine Control Module (ECM) may incorrectly reduce engine power and reduce fuel supply to the engine.
In August 2026, while driving, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration and engine power and would only travel at a very slow speed. The check engine light came on. The driver had to safely stop, turn the engine off, and restart it. After restarting, the vehicle temporarily regained acceleration and normal speed. This problem has occurred more than once and creates a serious safety risk in traffic, especially when merging or crossing intersections. An INFINITI dealer inspected the vehicle and advised that the problem may involve the turbocharger system, with repairs estimated at approximately $4,000. INFINITI Consumer Affairs was contacted about the loss of acceleration but declined financial assistance because of the vehicle's mileage/warranty status. The vehicle was previously an Enterprise rental vehicle and had prior INFINITI service history. The vehicle is available for inspection. I am requesting investigation of this sudden loss-of-power condition.I am aware that NHTSA Recall 21V-234 / INFINITI Campaign R20C5 involved certain 2021 Q50 vehicles and an ECM software condition associated with a warning light, reduced power, and possible engine stall while driving. My VIN currently shows 0 unrepaired recalls, but I am requesting verification of whether this campaign ever applied to my vehicle and, if so, when and at what mileage the ECM reprogramming was completed. My vehicle is now experiencing a Check Engine Light and sudden loss of acceleration/power while driving, which temporarily improves after the engine is shut off and restarted. I am also aware of INFINITI TSB ITB22-038D/EM22-007D concerning turbocharger replacement procedures for 2016–2024 Q50 vehicles equipped with the VR30DDTT engine. I request investigation of whether my present loss-of-power condition is related to the ECM, turbocharger/boost system, or another safety-related defect.

I was driving home on the Veterans Expressway in Tampa traveling about 65 mph when a sound like a gunshot almost caused me to lose control as I swerved out of fear - thankfully no other vehicles were nearby. I pulled over at the next exit in a public place and discovered my sunroof class had a piece of glass missing and it looked like it was pushed upwards. I knew this is not normal and never had I had this happen in any other car I owned with a sunroof. I had very small slivers of glass inside the car which cut my fingers because they were not visible, along with the tempered glass. Since it was going to rain, I drove home and put in garage to avoid water damage. I called the dealership in Sarasota and they stated this was reported by another customer in recent months. There was no warning there was a problem with my sunroof, nothing hit it, and it had been opening and closing with no problems. I’m lucky not to have crashed. In addition, flying glass that broke free created an even more dangerous situation for other drivers - thankfully the road was empty - by the time I was able to get to a gas station closer to home, the majority of the glass was missing. I researched the problem online and discovered numerous reports online suggesting this is a frequent problem with Nissan/Infiniti - apparently there is already a class action suit, but not for my model. Please investigate this dangerous problem immediately and ask Infiniti to inspect and issue recalls on their sunroofs. Unfortunately I believe they know a problem exists and have not issued a recall for the safety of their consumers. The cost to repair is in the thousands and I am without a car plus there are glass shards inside my car. **I tried to upload pictures but wasn’t able to do it from my phone - I have multiple pictures to share
