Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Fit LX-trim vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014, to July 02, 2015 and not equipped with a sunroof. In the affected vehicles, the rear grab handle brackets were not manufactured properly, and as a result, the brackets may puncture the side curtain air bags upon their deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection" and number 226, "Ejection Mitigation".
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Civic vehicles manufactured January 16, 2014, to November 6, 2014 and 2015 Fit vehicles manufactured March 12, 2014, to May 12, 2015. The software settings that control the transmission operation may result in damage to the transmission drive pulley shaft.
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2015 Fit vehicles manufactured December 6, 2013, to August 28, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience damage to the wires inside the Plug Top Ignition Coils (PTC) due to improper protection against electrical noise.
American Honda Motor Co. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2015 Honda Fit vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014, to June 9, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been assembled with an A-pillar interior cover designed for vehicles without side curtain air bags.
The digital gauge on the Genuine Honda Fit Instrument Cluster (factory-installed) flickers or goes blank intermittently. It is a well-documented and known defect in this model. The gauge is currently being replaced and I have asked for the defective part for evidence. The gauge includes the odometer, trip computer, digital fuel gauge, and engine oil information. It is a safety issue because you can run out of fuel, cannot track trip mileage (important when navigating in more remote areas), and can't see overall mileage (don't know when to service vehicle, etc.). The dealership has reproduced and identified the problem. No warning messages appeared before failure. The problem first appeared about 3 months ago, but seemed to be an isolated incident. Then one week ago, the problem became persistent.

The vehicle has experienced the same electrical/charging problem twice. The first time, three warning lights came on while I was driving. The vehicle subsequently lost electrical power and began experiencing a significant loss of acceleration. The warning lights then went off, followed by a situation where there were no warning lights displayed. The vehicle's acceleration became slower, the steering wheel began to feel as though it was locking, and the vehicle eventually broke down. This created a serious safety concern because the vehicle lost power and became difficult to control while I was driving. I had the alternator and battery replaced in an attempt to correct the problem. However, the problem has occurred again. After the repairs, all three warning lights are illuminated again, and the vehicle is displaying a "Check/Charge System" message. The battery does not appear to be charging while the engine is running. I returned the vehicle to the same repair facility that performed the previous work. I was told that they had checked the vehicle and performed the necessary work, but they believed there may be an electrical-system or computer-related problem because something appears to be draining the battery. The underlying cause has not been identified or corrected. The problem has not been permanently resolved despite replacing the battery and alternator. The vehicle is currently displaying the "Check/Charge System" message and the three warning lights. The specific component causing the failure has not yet been identified, and I would like the charging/electrical system, wiring, modules, and related components to be thoroughly inspected and diagnosed. The replaced alternator and battery, as well as any other relevant components, should be available for inspection if requested.

The vehicle experienced transmission drive issues accompanied by a Check Engine Light. An independent repair facility scanned the vehicle and confirmed diagnostic trouble code P0717 for a transmission speed sensor open circuit. The failure causes unexpected loss of acceleration and erratic power delivery while driving, redlining at 45 mph, malfunctioning of the gear selection display, and creating a safety hazard in active traffic. These symptoms line up with the CVT drive pulley shaft defect addressed in NHTSA Recall 15V574. When I contacted an authorized Honda dealership to address the issue, they stated this specific VIN is not included in the recall campaign. The vehicle and its diagnostic records are available for inspection upon request.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Check Charging System" warning light illuminated. Additionally, the engine start button intermittently failed to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was initially diagnosed with battery failure. However, the failure persisted after the battery was replaced. A diagnostic scan retrieved 6 Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer. Upon further diagnostic test, the independent mechanic identified Technical Service Bulletin: 20-098 (Warranty Extension: 2015–17 Fit Keyless Start System Error with DTC B12C5). The vehicle could not be repaired under the TSB because the vehicle was outside of the warranty period. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.

The paint (white orchid pearl) is peeling down to the metal on three of the doors. I did have a spot on the roof repaired during the extended 7 year warranty. But this current problem happened after the warranty expired.
