POWER TRAIN
On 12/28/2024, while accelerating on the highway, I received without warning a reduced engine power warning and the RPM's were racing when I depressed the gas pedal. I was in moderate traffic in excess of 55 MPH and had difficulty safely making it to the right shoulder of the roadway as traffic was passing by at a greater rate of speed than I was able to travel. The vehicle would not go more than 30-35 MPH and it would not go into reverse after I was able to make it to a safe location. It was towed to a local dealership where I was later advised it was a transmission issue (valve body). The vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting repair as there is a large backorder for the valve body (I was told 8 at this point).

VEHICLE TRANSMISSION BANGS AT 50-65MPH SO MUCH SO THAT THE VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE. CODE APPEAR ON DASH, MUST SHUT TRUCK OFF AND WAIT ON SIDE OF ROAD TIL GOES BACK TO NORMAL IDLE. RESTART VEHICLE, THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON FOR THE NEXT 3 STARTS THEN CLEARS TIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN.

While traveling back from Labor Day Weekend on [XXX], I was driving in the Dallas Fort Worth area when I experienced loss of power to our vehicle on a major highway [XXX] and [XXX] ) and directly on a bridge with my entire family in the vehicle (4 kids and all of our luggage). It was a very dangerous and scary situation. We had to wait one hour for a tow truck to come and take my vehicle to the closest GM dealership. I was left stranded, 3 hours from my home with my four children and luggage. The Chevrolet dealership contacted me 9 days later and informed me the technician looked at the vehicle and determined the engine was locked up/seized. It would take 9 months to get the vehicle back into the shop to determine what caused the issue and then take 6-12 months for a new engine. I have a family of 6 and I'm left car-less for two years. Yet I still have to make the monthly payment on a vehicle that I won't be driving or be in possession of. MY BIGGEST ISSUE: GM has known that they have had engine issues for many years. Particularly, with Dynamic Fuel Management causing lifter issues which leads to engine failure, yet never disclosed this to me when I purchased the vehicle. Furthermore, they never disclosed that the issue was so prevalent that motors were back ordered for over a year. Consumers are being misled into spending their hard earned money on vehicles that have major mechanical design flaws known to the manufacturer. Once the mechanical flaw is realized, the vehicle can't be repaired for up to two years. Hiding this data from consumers should be criminal. Furthermore, General Motors to this point has been no help, with the GM customer satisfaction team telling us they can't do anything until a dealer diagnosis the issue, and the dealer stating they can't diagnose the issue until May of next year, at which time they would then look to order the motor which will take 9-12 months to deliver and install. The 2022 Suburban lost all power and came to a dead stop in the travel lane of a busy major highway. The vehicle becoming disabled in the middle of flowing travel resulted in a rear end crash from a vehicle traveling approximately 60 MPH.

- Truck makes a sizzling sound when parked - Car wouldnt start and needed battery jump, unknown source draining the battery - Truck has engine issues , started shaking and died in the middle of the highway, GM replaced engine - Engine replaced after less than a week, truck would not start, Gm replaced starter - After 2 days and using the vehicle once, truck would not start again. GM is trying to root cause issue but cant find a resolution Since the car stopped when we were on the highway and none of the fixes seem to be working I am worried that the car will abruptly stop again and put my life and others at risk

Wipers quit working while driving through a rain episode. We tried to have the car to "reset", stopped at a gas station, stopped the car, we all got off and locked the car for at least 5 minutes. Still no wipers.

UNKNOWN: Approximately once a week, all of the sound stops in the vehicle including the blinker sound, radio & connected phones. I'm unsure if affects anything else. I have googled this issue and it seems as if other GM vehicle owners have the same issue. There were no warnings or warning lights.

Engine failure at 27k miles on a highway going highway speeds (45-50 MPH). This failure happened on a night when it was 5 degrees and dropping, vehicle full of my family + my parents. Complete engine failure, no way to run heat or move the vehicle at all. Engine failure #2 at 37k miles while driving down a 2 lane road, was able to pull into an apartment complex Complete vehicle infotainment failure, not able to use handsfree device, backup cameras, front and rear safety sensors. Engine failure #3 at 65k miles on a 4 lane highway going 65-70 MPH. Was able to get to a turn lane. Engines have shuddered / lost power steering / electrical many times while going 70+ MPH on 3+ lane highways

Check engine warning light appeared on dashboard. When servicing the vehicle at dealership, they found catalytic converter not burning up exhaust gases properly. Need to replace y-pipe, part #86781749. I found NHTSA document N232419720 - Emission Recall Incorrect Catalytic Converter Service Part, that references my car make and model. I am requesting an investigation to have this included in a recall and to have replacement costs reimbursed.

The contact stated that the failure had occurred while the Auto START/STOP feature was enabled and disabled. The failure forced the contact's wife to shift into park or neutral before the vehicle would restart. The failure occurred several times while the contact's wife was driving the vehicle several times and stopping at the red light when the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to a dealer previously and the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that unless the failure was recognized, the vehicle could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

at some point,we noticed that every time we crank it up, the engine would sounding weird, like it was low on engine oil, we checked the engine oil, and it was no less then 2 quarts low, that was realy weird, because we change the oil as needed and we definitly make sure that we add the amount recomended by GM, also this past weekend, it was rainy, we were out doing some shopping and on the way back home the windshield wipers stoped working, we could not take the vehicle out for the rest of the weekend until it stopped raining.

Had an issue where the left/right turn signals stopped functioning. This occurred while in-use while waiting to make a turn. Shutting the car on and off did not correct the problem. Contacted dealer and advised to bring in. I chose to disconnect the battery rebooting the vehicles BOM. Issue resolved after a vehicle reboot. This is a serious software issue.

Had an issue where the main front digital cluster went black upon a start-up and drive. No speedometer, engine status, gear status or anything. Shutting the car on and off did not correct the problem. Contacted dealer and advised to bring in. I chose to disconnect the battery rebooting the vehicles BOM. Issue resolved after a vehicle reboot. This is a serious software issue.
