Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2024-2025 AUDI Q4 E-Tron SUV, AUDI Q4 E-Tron Sportback, and 2024 ID.4 vehicles. The on-board charger (OCDC) may fail and stop charging the 12-volt battery, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Vehicle: 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron Premium Plus quattro Safety concern: Side airbags failed to deploy during a significant driver's-side collision. On XXX, I was driving my 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron at approximately 45 mph in [XXX] when another vehicle, a Hyundai, struck the driver's side of my Audi near the front driver's door and front wheel area. Immediately before the collision, I noticed the other vehicle in my left peripheral vision and heard tires screeching. I do not know the Hyundai's actual speed. The impact caused extensive damage to the driver's side of my Audi, including the front and rear driver's-side doors, door seals, and surrounding structure. The front driver's door could not be fully closed afterward. My head struck the driver's-side window during the collision, and my glasses were dislodged. I was evaluated in an emergency department and diagnosed with a concussion. Despite the significant driver's-side impact, neither the driver's side curtain airbag nor the driver's seat-mounted side airbag deployed, to my knowledge. The airbags in the striking Hyundai reportedly deployed. My Audi continued traveling mostly straight after the collision until I brought it to a stop. I observed that the Hyundai had rotated after the collision. I am concerned that the Audi's side-impact restraint system may not have functioned as intended. I am requesting that NHTSA review this incident as a possible airbag nondeployment safety issue. Following the collision, the myAudi app displayed the front windows as open, although my husband confirmed that the windows were intact and fully raised. The app also indicated that doors were open; the driver's front door was physically damaged and could not latch completely. I am seeking preservation and independent retrieval of the crash data and airbag control module information before the vehicle is repaired, dismantled, or salvaged. I tried to charge my Q4 at home, the charging connector to the car had warning red light. So, I checked up dashboard. It's said that AC charging is limited. Eventually, I can't charge. I went to the audi dealer. They said it's simple software issue. Waited 2 hours, one day works fine. Same issue. They don't know what to do. I am still wating from audi USA.

The contact owns a 2025 Audi Q4 Sportback E-tron. The contact stated that while the vehicle was inside the car wash, the contact shifted the transmission from neutral(N) to drive(D), but the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the car wash wall, damaging the front driver's side of the vehicle. Police arrived at the scene, but no police report was filed because the crash had occurred on private property. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. The dealer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my leased 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron, leased new with under 500 miles and now at approximately 8,200 miles. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has ongoing brake-related issues affecting low-speed operation: a rough or grinding brake pedal feel and intermittent brake squeal during rolling stops, turns, and parking maneuvers. The most concerning issue is unexpected parking brake or emergency braking activation during low-speed pull-off and parking maneuvers, causing the vehicle to abruptly jolt to a stop. This has happened approximately four times between March and July 2026, beginning around 6,000 miles, including while pulling to the roadside and while parking with my foot already on the brake. No other vehicle was nearby during these events, and the behavior is not consistent or predictable, creating a risk of unexpected stopping during normal low-speed operation. This does not match normal EV regenerative braking based on my experience with other EVs, including another Q4 e-tron, and appears specific to this vehicle. I reported these concerns to authorized Audi dealers and Audi Customer Experience. In February 2026 I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer for a brake-related appointment; a technician did not inspect it because the service associate said he did not think anything was wrong, and I later learned the appointment was canceled rather than documented. I also raised these concerns with a second authorized dealer during a one-year service visit and on two additional occasions. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer to my knowledge, and has not been inspected by police, insurance, or an independent service center. I am not aware of warning lamps before the jolting events. I am concerned the vehicle may have a defect involving the service brakes, parking brake, emergency braking system, software, sensors, or control-system behavior.
