  Dear Nissan Sentra Owner: Thank you for being a Nissan owner. We strive to provide you with an excellent ownership experience that includes confidence in your vehicle’s performance, features and overall reliability. To that end, Nissan is extending the limited warranty covering your continuously variable transmission (CVT) to 7 years/84,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty extension is being provided as an owner satisfaction effort to address concerns, including those expressed by plaintiffs in class action litigation. This CVT warranty extension covers your CVT assembly (including internal CVT components, gaskets, and seals, CVT control valve body, and torque converter), cooler kit (if applicable), and any necessary software updates. Coverage of other vehicle components remains unchanged, and all other terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of Nissan’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty continue to apply. What You Should Do This extended warranty coverage is effective immediately. You do not need to take any further action. The Sentra with the Vehicle Identification Number listed at the top of this page is covered by this extended CVT warranty. If you seek coverage for a repair under this extended warranty, you will need to bring your vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealer. The factorytrained technical staff at the Nissan dealer will have the diagnostic tools and knowledge to provide you with the appropriate service and submit your warranty claim As you take care of yourself and your family during the COVID-19 crisis, we know that your vehicle may play a key role. We are here to help if you need us. Service Department hours of operation may be modified as local and state restrictions change, so we encourage you to book your appointment online or call your local Dealership to confirm service availability.

  Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 104,221 specific Nissan vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or “Smog Check” test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D.  P9328 – Affected Model Year 2015  P9343 – Affected Model Year 2016  P9345 – Affected Model Year 2017  P9347 – Affected Model Year 2018  P9349 – Affected Model Year 2019 2. Dealers should remedy any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction.

  CVT Class Action Owner Notification Attention: Dealer Principal, Sales, Service & Parts Managers In early November, current and former owners and lessees of the following vehicles will receive a postcard from a Settlement Administrator informing them of the terms of a proposed class action that, subject to final court approval, could extend the warranty on the CVT for the following vehicles: 2012-2017 Versa Sedan (N17) 2014-2017 Versa Note (E12) 2013-2017 Sentra (B17) 2013-2016 Altima (L33) 2013-2017 Juke (F15) The proposed settlement (including the proposed warranty extension) is still subject to final approval by the court presiding over the proposed settlement. The court will determine if the settlement will be approved at or shortly after a hearing that is scheduled for March 6, 2020. To be clear, unless and until the proposed settlement is approved by the presiding court, there is no warranty extension and you should proceed with CVT-related claims as outlined below in #3 under what dealers should do. The proposed settlement, and the associated potential warranty extension, include many terms and conditions. Rather than attempting to address questions about the proposed settlement terms from customers, it is strongly recommended that you refer customers to the websites and/or telephone numbers listed below so that they can receive information from appropriate sources and in order to avoid providing incorrect and/or incomplete information. The telephone numbers and websites should be active by November 1, 2019. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. No action is necessary at this time. Nissan will provide additional instructions if and when the proposed settlement is approved.

  2016-2018 NISSAN CONNECT NAVIGATION SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATE TO RESOLVE SEVERAL ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with navigation system. IF YOU CONFIRM One or more of the following is occurring: - The navigation unit intermittently reboots: - At random or while listening to SXM or on a Bluetooth hands-free phone call. - Loud booming noise from speakers while on a Bluetooth hands-free call. - Navigation unit screen illumination does not change at night as designed. - AM/FM signal strength issues. - A status message ?Voice Recognition is initializing, please wait? is displayed when pressing the voice recognition button 2-3 minutes after the ignition is first turned ON. NOTE: If the message is displayed within the first 2-3 minutes this is normal. The voice recognition is loading phonebook contacts into its system. AND - The Software version has been confirmed as ?needs update? (refer to page 4). ACTION - Perform the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 3 and reprogram the Navigation system with USB memory stick shown below.
