It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. * In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). * In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern.   Some vehicles equipped with a coolant control valve may exhibit difficulties when refilling the coolant because the control valve is closed and air in the engine cannot escape during ignition ON. Therefore, turn the ignition OFF when refilling engine coolant using the radiator filler neck.

  Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush.

  Some customers may experience a squeaking noise may be heard from the exhaust manifold when the idle speed drops from fast idle to normal idle speed during cold start. This is caused by a variable valve being stuck in the closed position. When returning from fast idle to normal, the stuck valve suddenly opens due to thermal change around it which causes abnormal noise. To eliminate this concern, the internal design of the exhaust manifold has been modified.

  Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the power outer mirror will not fold in and/or out when the outer mirror holding switch (1) is operated. This may be caused by: 1. The electric fold-in unit inside the outer mirror may be damaged by corrosion from water entry due to insufficient water tightness. 2. The electric fold-in unit may interfere with the outer mirror frame due to improper installation of the electric fold-in unit. 3. The friction around the shaft of the folding mechanism may increase To eliminate this concern, the following changes have been implemented: 1. The overlapping part of the water-proof sealing inside the electric fold-in unit (it cannot be seen from the outside) has been extended and the flange (1) has been attached instead of a water proof seal. 2. The height of the mirror frame rib has been changed. 3. The material of the washer has been changed and another washer has been added to the shaft

  Some vehicles may have coolant leaks at the cylinder head around the exhaust manifold (as shown below). There may be cracks at the stud bolt hole or at the outside of the exhaust manifold. Cracks may be caused by: - Deformation of the exhaust manifold during usage causing unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. - Residual stress generated during production in the cylinder head material may be greater than expected. The external force from the exhaust system when driving over bumps may cause unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. To eliminate this concern, the design of the exhaust manifold gasket and the cylinder head has been modified to reduce the force on the cylinder head.

  Some vehicles may have rust on the contact parts between the clips (for attaching the roof molding) and the roof panel (ditches of the roof rail). This is caused by the gap between the roof molding attachment clips and the roof panel not being wide enough to allow paint to be appropriately applied to the roof panel. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the roof molding clip has been changed to enable paint application between the clip's rib and roof during the manufacturing process.
