ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Well, isn't it wonderful that Kia has extended the warranty on the horn assembly. Now, how do I avail myself of the warranty? Simple - if the horn DOES NOT WORK or emits an unusual or different sound just bring it to KIA for a diagnosis. Now, when is it most likely that I realize the horn DOES NOT WORK? When I need it the most, or when the bicyclist or pedestrian or whatever needs my horn to work. How in the world does KIA think it can keep possibly unsafe vehicles on the road? I have no idea but I am filing a complaint and ask all others to do so. The horn is a critical safety feature that must work all the time. How does KIA think it can get away with this? Vehicles are required to meet and continue to meet at all times Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in existence at the time of manufacture. This is simply unacceptable.

ENGINE
The contact owns a 2024 Kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving on an access road at 20 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over onto the side of the road to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted, and the contact started to drive however, the failure recurred. The contact inspected the vehicle but found no cause for the failure. The vehicle was restarted; however, the vehicle failed to exceed 20 MPH. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On 12/30/2024 my wife was returning home when all of the instrument lights went out. She stopped to make attemps to get the lights to come on but nothing worked. She had to drive home with no instruments for speed, directions, service, etc. When she got home ( very upset ) she only wanted to know why e new car with only 1400 miles would have this problem. I checked all the obvious cause for this condition but I could not find anything obviuos such as blown fuse, etc. Searching on line I found this was a common problem and people said a temporary fix was to disconnect the battery and retighten. This did work for the time but soon it did the same thing on New Years Eve and after supper we had to drive home with no dash lights. On 01/04/2025 the lights were out and error messages kept appearing. On 01/06/2025 I called the dealer service because of the safety problem and asked to speak to the manager and I have still not heard from him. My wife now refuses to drive the car and I understand why.

Headlights are not bright enough. In areas with no street lights it’s like driving with candles. The light is yellow and dim. This is a new car

Went out to my car one morning and my entire instrument cluster was black. I could not see my speedometer, gas gauge, mileage, nothing. Had to drive it for 2 days while using waze to keep track of my speed until I could get my car into the dealership. I have been waiting for 3 months now for the part

I parked my car in the assigned parking spot. It was vandalized for theft at 5 pm by Kia Boys. Because it was a 2024 model, it was not a class vehicle that I could file a settlement claim. This is an ongoing issue, thieves are still going around looking for vulnerable vehicles to steal for joyride. It will cost 3500 to fix and many damaged owners like me don't even have any legal recourse to get the cost reimbursed.

Size: P205/60R16 My Daughter was driving when all of a sudden the Front Driver Tire exploaded while taking a turn on a residential street. There was no nail or puncture to the tire (see photos). We do have a video showing that there is no puncture damage via nail or sharp object, but the video file is too large.

ENGINE
While sitting at a light, the vehicle would completely turn off! I put the vehicle in park and attempt to restart it. After several attempts, the vehicle would turn on and work properly. This happened to me on 2 occasions. The first time it happened was [XXX]. (My son and I were on the way to church).The second time was approx. a week and a half later. Then, on 8/8/24 about a week after the second stalling, the check engine light came on. I called the dealership and explained the problem. I took the vehicle to the dealership on [XXX] and on [XXX] the Service manager was attempting to return the car to me, when the car shut off in traffic while she was behind the wheel. She called me to let me know what happened and returned the car to the dealerships service department. This was on [XXX] and the car is still at the dealership. The service manager told me they can't start working on my car until they hear from the Engineers! This was on [XXX]. It's now 9/16/24. I haven't heard from anyone at the dealership! I've made 2 car payments and I've paid my auto insurance in full for 6 months for a car that I can't drive and don't have!!! I called the gentleman that sold me the car and left a message asking him to have the owner of the dealership to call me. He returned my call and said that I could come in and trade the vehicle in for another car. I plan on attempting this on 9/20/24. This car was purchased at Clay Cooley Kia of Irving in Texas and this experience has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! I can't wait for this TO BE OVER!!! SERVICE BRAKES
THE BRAKE PEDAL RUBBER IS MADE OF A HARD PLASTIC OR SYNTHETIC RUBBER. BOTH I AND MY WIFES FOOT SLIDES OFF OF IT NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF SHOE WERE WEARING. I STARTED WEARING TENNIS SHOES, HELPED A LITTLE. BUT I'VE NEARLY HAD SEVERAL WRECKS WHERE I WAS GOING SLOW CAME UP TO THE LIGHT AND MY FOOTS COME OFF THE PEDDLE AND I NEARLY RAN INTO THE STOPPED CAR INFRONT OF ME, I MEAN BY INCHES. I PUT BOTH FEET ON THE PEDDLE NOW WITH ONE UP ON THE PEDDLE METAL STEM THAT HOLDS THE PAD OWN OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION. I'M REALLY AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR.IT'S AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, STEERING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Budget rental out of KSGF. THIS DANGEROUS COMPACT SUV IS UNFIT FOR UNITED STATES ROADS AND INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS. IN 2 WEEKS THE CAR OVER 8x Attempted to Overpower my driver inputs nearly driving me in to semi tractor trailer rigs. Further every time that happens a loud annoying message to take a coffee break even 7 minutes into the drive since engine start up. The partial Turn Off only partly lessens this Dangerous technology. It attempts to STOP THE DRIVER FROM STEERING AND ACCELERATOR AND EVEN BRAKE INPUTS. maybe appropriate in South Korea type of roads and laws and high density of autos... not true in the Continental U.S..
