  This bulletin provides information regarding condensation related to moisture accumulation in the headlamp, rear combination lamp, daytime running lamp (DRL), or fog lamp. The TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes, or during normal driving operation.

  This bulletin describes the procedure to properly bleed the brakes on Sonata HEV/PHEV (LF) and Ioniq EV/HEV/PHEV (AE) vehicles. This procedure applies when any air is introduced into the Active Hydraulic Boost (AHB) system, which consists of the pressure supply unit (PSU), and the integrated brake actuation unit (IBAU). Improper bleeding of the brake system can result in the presence of air, which may reduce braking effectiveness.

  Certain vehicles may incur dash warning light(s) On with DTC(s) stored including either of the following DTC: ? U1116 - Lost Communication With Motor Electronics Coolant Pump (C-CAN) ? U1118 - Lost Communication With Hybrid/EV Battery Electronic Coolant Pump (P-CAN) The vehicle may operate in limp home at a reduced power. The above DTC(s) may occur due to coolant leaking into the Electric Water Pump (EWP) Can Case and may have an intermittent electrical connection. This bulletin provides instructions to inspect the vehicle?s EWP assembly. The Can Case of the EWP or the full EWP Assembly will be replaced depending on the EWP inspection result. The EWP?s connector may also need to be replaced with a wiring harness kit if contamination is confirmed. Perform the inspection procedure as outlined on page-7.

  Summary

  The Blind Spot Detection (BSD) or Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) is a system that measures the speed of and distance from the following vehicles by using two magnetic wave radar sensors attached in the rear bumper. The BSD/BCW detects vehicles within the blind spot zone and gives off an alarm (visual and audible). The two magnetic radar sensors provide these functions for BSD/BCW: ? Senses other vehicles in the BSD/BCW zone and turns on the BSD/BCW warning lamp for the driver. The warning lamp starts blinking, along with an audible sound, when the driver turns on the turn signal lamp to enter the lane where another vehicle is driving.

  Certain 2017-2019 vehicles may experience check engine light ?ON? with the following DTC stored: ? DTC P0456 - Evaporative System (EVAP) - Very Small LeakThese conditions primarily occur in the California coastal areas that are subject to marine layer cloud cover. Salt particulate deposit can form inside the Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD) which may cause intermittent operation prompting the DTC P0456 and the check engine light ?ON?. This bulletin provides the procedure to install a new Air Filter Kit with an updated filter to help prevent entry of the salt particulates. In addition, vehicles with check engine light ?ON? and DTC P0456 found stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) must also replace the NVLD part.
