REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) TO RESOLVE THE CONCERN, USING IDS VERSION 98.01 OR HIGHER. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET WHEN ENTERING MODULE PROGRAMMING TO OBTAIN THE LATEST UPDATES. CALIBRATION FILES MAY ALSO BE OBTAINED AT WWW.MOTORCRAFTSERVICE.COM. USE APPLICABLE 12651D LABOR OPERATIONS IN SECTION 10 OF THE SLTS MANUAL, USE CAUSAL PART 10849 FOR REPROGRAM.

WORKSHOP MANUALS HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO INCLUDE A REPAIR VALIDATION CODE (RVC) IN DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM, PINPOINT TEST A (FOCUS, 2014-15 FIESTA), PINPOINT TEST N (2011-2013 FIESTA).   1.0L ECOBOOST - ILLUMINATED MIL - DTC P1450 - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 10/19/2015 ISSUE Some 2015-2016 Focus vehicles equipped with an 1.0L EcoBoost engine and built on or before 10/19/2015 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1450 (unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum) present in powertrain control module (PCM) memory. ACTION Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 99.05 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com.

  DPS6 - NO START AND/OR TRANSMISSION ENGAGEMENT OR LOSS OF POWER WITH DTCS U0100, U0101, U1013, U3003 AND/OR P0606 ISSUE Some 2011-2016 Fiesta and 2012-2016 Focus vehicles equipped with a DPS6 transmission may exhibit intermittent concerns of loss of transmission engagement while driving, intermittent no start or a loss of power. These symptoms are usually accompanied by an illuminated Check Engine lamp. Additional symptoms may include messages in the message center indicating hill start assist is not available, that parking aid malfunction/service is required or the transmission PRNDL/S gear selector on the instrument cluster may flash. Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U0100, U0101, U1013, U3003 and/or P0606 will be present or stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory.
