SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-10 dated June 24, 2013. If a model year 2014 Q5 TDI, A6 TDI, A7 TDI, or A8L TDI clean diesel (engine code CPNA or CPNB) requires diagnosis or repair of the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after-treatment (SCR/AdBlue and emissions) systems, or transmission, a Repair Authorization is necessary prior to repair. This also applies to any messages related to AdBlue shown in the DIS. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Routine maintenance, PDI, and repair of other systems do not require prior authorization or a TAC ticket. Any repairs related to the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after-treatment (SCR/AdBlue or emissions) systems, or transmission completed without Repair Authorization via a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) contact will not be reimbursed. In an effort to gain information on the systems listed above, we are asking that you contact TAC before replacing any parts. This will assist us in diagnosing any potential issues.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-94 dated July 24, 2013. The driver?s voice sounds muffled or background noise sounds very loud to other caller during Bluetooth calls. Voice recognition commands are not recognized or voice recognition accuracy is poor. The location of the microphones within the roof module make them susceptible to interference by the vehicle air vents and climate control settings. When the center air vents are pointed upward, they can cause a ?swirling? effect that affects the audio quality of Bluetooth® and voice recognition. This is particularly evident on hot days when the A/C system is set to ?auto?.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 10 number 10-02 dated September 14, 2010. Prior to engine replacement, any debris lodged in transferred assemblies must be removed. If the vehicle's engine experienced a serious mechanical problem, it is possible that small pieces of metal debris resulting from the mechanical problem may have become deposited in the intake manifold, air intake hoses, exhaust manifolds, exhaust down-pipes, turbocharger, supercharger, and/or intercooler. If these pieces are not removed prior to the installation and operation of the replacement engine, the pieces may be drawn into the combustion chamber, which can cause a knocking noise and subsequent serious engine damage.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 12-33 dated October 22, 2012. After replacing the electromechanical steering with the control unit J500, the unit cannot be coded via SVM spec/actual. All new replacement power steering control units (J500) must be coded and parameterized using online SVM spec/actual or an SVM code. If the SVM spec/actual returns a response of ?Check Hardware?, then the SVM code is required to code and parameterize the new replacement control unit. The SVM code can be found in Parts Bulletin 9-97, which is available online through ETKA.

SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 13-36 dated July 10, 2013. The vehicle alarm activates for no reason and it cannot be turned off. The alarm horn does not work. DTC/fault symptom combinations are found in the comfort system control module. The DTC can be static or sporadic. The wiring harness insulation for the alarm horn can be damaged during the vehicle production assembly. Because the cable is routed through the plenum chamber, water can enter into the cable via the damaged insulation. The water causes the alarm to activate for no reason or it causes the alarm horn to not work.
