SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving close to a vehicle and brake sensor came on when I got too close. I was braking before sensor initiated and after the sensor appeared my brakes no longer were stiff and I heard rattling from brakes and felt loose/unable to brake properly. This has happened twice since the first incident and I only have issues when brake sensor appears.

POWER TRAIN
Grinding noise coming from front end upon acceleration. Brought to dealership who confirmed noises coming from transmission. Transmission needs to be replaced per dealer recommendation. Recalls on 2021 Toyota Camry for same issue. Transmissions on backorder and dealership isn’t sure when it will arrive. Unable to provide loaner vehicle until transmission arrives. Will replace with remanufactured transmission and not new per my request. Warranty will not restart at 0 miles even though transmission is “new”. Car has less than 30,000 miles and warranty is halfway thru term. Dealership unable to answer questions on what will happen if transmission fails again after warranty.

AIR BAGS, AIR BAGS:SRS MALFUNCTION WARNING LAMP/LIGHT
The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the message "SRS Air Bag Malfunction detected" was displayed. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V865000 (Air Bags); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 59,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the contact attempted to open the sunroof; however, the sunroof had seized. The message "Take Vehicle for Maintenance" was displayed on the instrument panel. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,800.

[xxx] my husband and I hit a deer. The airbags did not deploy. My husband has been seen at and getting treatment from Scott and White in Temple Texas both inpatient and outpatient. He has a spinal cord injury from the wreck. Our car is surely totalled. . . My husband has used all of his acquired sick time, as well as vacation time. Also, we were just notified today (December 17, 2024) from his job, Tractor Supply, that HR requested my husband to take a leave of absence. My husband does not have health insurance. Everything is put of pocket expense wise. . . We did not and have not received any safety recalls by mail nor by email. If we had been notified, I would have taken our vehicle to be properly inspected prior to the accident. . . My husband, [XXX] , has been seriously injured. Our vehicle is a Toyota Camry 2022, VIN # [XXX] When we purchased our vehicle, it was brand new, fresh off the lot. My vehicle was a total lose After hitting a curb and all air bags literally exploded cause the driver to lose total control of the vehicle which also caused injuries to a passenger with lacerations on the hand caused by figments of some sort coming out of the airbags I dont understand why when my vehicle was teabond my airbags d Never deployed But than when I merely ran into a curb All airbags literally exploded and caused my vehicle to suffer a total lose along with passengers suffered severe lacerations from metal shards coming out of the air bags

1.The carpet around the floor mats on the driver’s side is becoming loose. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Occasionally engine revs up while braking. The most incident was when braking for a stop sign. I took my foot off the accelerator and depressed the brake pedal. The engine speed increased and I had to step harder on the brake. Briefly a message appeared warning the brake and accelerator pedals were both depressed. I looked down and I could see nothing was touching the accelerator peddle. My foot was clearly only on the brake. This has also happened when trying to park, though I did not look at the gas pedal those times. Instead I shifted to neutral an turned of the engine. I have reported this to the dealer several times with no resolution. With the latest report the service manager was "not available" and has not returned phone calls. They claim to have never heard of the problem. By the way, there are no extra mats in the car. The only mat is the one installed by the manufacturer and it is secured by clips.

My car was struck by another car that was traveling at a high speed. It hit my front fender, the side of the front bumper, and drivers door. I slammed into the door. The car was inspected by police and insurance representatives. The car was deemed a total loss but none of the airbags deployed in the crash. There were no warnings or signs of failure prior to the crash.

Car came to shop with low beam headlights flashing when high beams are on they still flash the vehicle has L.E.D. headlights it is a 22 toyota camry vehicle hasnt been inspected by the dealer there is a message in the system for led headlight problem for the left front but not the right front the right front flashes more than the left it will eventually quit but if you turn the car on with just ignition they will also flash

The contact owned a 2022 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH he drove into a heavy rainstorm. The contact stated that all the air bags deployed as soon as the vehicle had entered the storm. The contact lost control of the vehicle, hit the highway barrier, and crashed into the barrier head-on. The contact stated that the emergency phone called and a person asked the contact if he had been in a crash. The contact stated that he was losing consciousness and was unable to respond. The contact was later told that he had been transported to a hospital by ambulance. The contact stated he was told that the police were on scene but he was not sure if a report had been written. The contact stated that he had neck and back injuries and whiplash. He said he had no broken bones. The contact stated that his insurance provider told him that the vehicle had been towed to an impound lot and was declared a total loss. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

SEAT BELTS
The passenger side backseat belt locked, and we could not get the seatbelt to released. My 4 year old became tangled in the seatbelt, and we could not get the seatbelt to release. It only kept becoming tighter around his stomach area. Seatbelt had to be cut with scissors to become released/untangled. I was informed by Carlock Toyota in Tupelo, Mississippi that a safety feature was not in place to release the seatbelt if one became caught in it and it would not release. I was told I would have had to have my child cut out of the seatbelt due to the Toyota camry seatbelt not releasing.
