  NISSAN; DTC P0456 CAUSED BY EVAP LEAK AT VENT CONTROL VALVE O-RING IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON in an APPLIED VEHICLE with DTC P0456 (EVAP VERY SML LEAK) AND - DTC P0456 is not caused by a loose fuel fill cap (refer to NTB13-097). - An EVAP leak has been detected where the vent control valve mounts to the canister. - The vent control valve O-ring seal is determined to be the cause. ACTION 1. DO NOT REPLACE the vent control valve. 2. Replace the vent control valve O-ring seal (O-ring). - Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 2.

  Bed Welds Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** Nissan is conducting a voluntary service campaign on certain 2017 Titan vehicles to repair the right and left hand bed side rails. Due to a manufacturing issue that has since been corrected, the welds between the mating materials on the side rails of the Titan truck bed may not meet Nissan design specifications. In extreme conditions, deformation to the bed could occur. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm I.D. PC577 - New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). o Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use the following campaign repair bulletin to remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign: NTB17-075 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department.   2016-2017 TITAN XD; TRANSMISSION SHIFT QUALITY ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a Cummins 5.0L V8 Diesel engine. IF YOU CONFIRM Any of the following issues: - When cold (transmission fluid below 140°F [60°C]), there is an engine RPM rise (200 to 500 RPM flare) during the 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, and/or the 3-4 shift. - While slowing to a stop, a 2-1 down shift bump is felt just before stopping. - Harsh up-shifts. - Shift shock when lifting your foot from the accelerator. - Gear hunting while driving in city traffic. ACTION 1. Compare the vehicle?s current TCM part number to the part number listed in Table A on page 7. - If the current TCM part number matches a part number listed in Table A, follow the instructions in Table A. 2. Save computer data with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus). 3. Compare the vehicle?s current ECM part number to the part number listed in Table B on page 30. - If the current ECM part number matches a part number listed in Table B, reprogram the ECM. - Write saved data. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

ACTION Replace the rear parking brake shoes and retainer springs on both sides of the vehicle. - If the parking brake shoes have worn through their lining and scored either the left side or right side drum surface of the brake rotor, or if any other related damage is present, replace the brake rotor on the affected side and replace the disk brake pads.
