  This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a fuel leak or fuel odor. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes are found technician should use published Service Information diagnostics first. If fuel leaks are found at the high pressure pump to fuel rail line fitting connections, technician should inspect the high pressure line fittings for misaligned lines and/or low torque of the line nuts. If leaks are found at the high pressure line fittings, technician will need to replace both lines.

  This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician that Diagnostic Trouble Code B127E in the Human Machine Interface with Regular Production Option Code U42 or UWG will be current when playing a DVD or Blu-Ray on the Integrated Center Stack display. When the disc is ejected the Diagnostic Trouble Code will be history. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code B127E remains current after ejecting the disc follow Service Information diagnostic procedure instructions for B127E with Regular Production Option Code U42 or UWG.

  14126A - SERVICE UPDATE (REVISED PROGRAMMING INFORMATION). THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES A SERVICE PROCEDURE TO REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER ON CERTAIN VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE AN ODOMETER READING AT “PEEK IN” (I.E. DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC) SCREEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN THE OFF POWER MODE BUT THE CLUSTER IS AWAKENED BY OPENING THE CAR DOOR OR USING THE KEY FOB) DOES NOT MATCH THE SEASON ODOMETER READING WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN THE RUN POWER MODE. THE TRIP A/B AND FUEL ECONOMY DISPLAYS MAY ALSO BE INCORRECT. THIS CONDITION OCCURS, WHEN THE VEHICLE SITS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME AND, NORMAL PARASITIC CURRENT DRAWS DEPLETE THE BATTERY STATE OF CHARGE TO LESS THAN 12 VOLTS AND, THE VEHICLE IS IN THE OFF POWER MODE WHEN THE CLUSTER IS AWAKENED AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF OUR CUSTOMERS, GENERAL MOTORS HAS AGREED TO ASSIST IN ADMINISTERING THIS RECALL THROUGH ITS CHEVROLET AND GMC DEALERS. IMPCO AUTOMOTIVE HAS DECIDED TO CONDUCT A VOLUNTARY EMISSION RECALL INVOLVING CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) SYSTEM. THESE VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH AN INCORRECT ECM CALIBRATION. DEALERS ARE TO REPROGRAM THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM). THE CHANGE WILL ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO OPERATE AS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED.
