TSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying your dealership's new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: ? Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. ? Proper operation of electrical accessories (including interior light, clock, and radio reset). ? Interior cleanliness. ? Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles has been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular oil changes are essential to the proper maintenance of their vehicle, dealers are required to begin installing a first oil change reminder sticker prior to delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for their first oil change. Your current oil change reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 9 of "Final Inspection & Cleaning.") A New PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2015 model year Prius V. Some check points have been added, expanded, or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold type.

TSB: The Advanced Parking Guidance System assists the driver during parking and parallel parking by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle and controlling the steering wheel with the vehicle in reverse. Removing the short pin or disconnecting the battery interrupts power to the Steering Angle Sensor. When the short pin is reinstalled or the battery terminal is reconnected, the rear view monitor will operate, but the Steering Angle Sensor center position must be set through system initialization before the Advanced Parking Guidance System will become operational. Initialize the Advanced Parking Guidance System after installing the short pin during Pre-delivery Service (PDS).

TSB: Toyota models equipped with the Premium HDD Navigation (AVN/AW-EMV) System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB drive to update the map, points of interest, Gracenote®, and system software. The SST is used with all vehicles to deliver the update, however a unique Activation Number is required for each vehicle. Activation Numbers are provided in an Activation Card Number (ACN) pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system.

TSB: Toyota models equipped with the Premium HDD Navigation (AVN/AW-EMV) System will periodically require an update to the Gracenote Database. Gracenote includes detailed information for songs (e.g., Genre, Artist, Song Title, Album Name, etc.) The Gracenote update will be included on the "USB Drive Navigation Map Update" SST. A Gracenote update must be performed before a Navigation Map Update. A Navigation Map Update is not required to complete the Gracenote update.

Hybrid Vehicle (HV) battery ? 12-volt auxiliary battery If Prius or vehicles are put into storage, the state of charge (SOC) of its HV battery and auxiliary battery will gradually decrease. To prevent the auxiliary battery from becoming discharged during storage, proper maintenance is necessary. Please perform the following maintenance service for the HV battery and 12-volt auxiliary battery.
