Fuel Tank Breather Tube Dealer Inventory ***** Detailed Information ***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory quality action to inspect the routing of the fuel tank breather tube on approximately 4,288 specific MY2016-17 Titan XD (A61D) vehicles. During vehicle assembly, certain plant operator technicians may not have removed the temporary fuel tank breather tube cap, and may not have correctly affixed the tube to the bed rail. No parts are required for this inspection. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles currently in new dealer inventory are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. PC594 - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). i. Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Use the attached procedure to inspect the vehicle. - If the fuel tank breather tube is routed correctly, file a claim for the inspection. - If the fuel tank breather tube is not routed correctly, provide the requested information in an email to [email protected] and await further instruction. Instructions and claims information will be provided within 48 hours. 3. Dealers are requested to inspect any affected vehicle in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction.

NISSAN; DTC P0456 CAUSED BY EVAP LEAK AT VENT CONTROL VALVE O-RING IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON in an APPLIED VEHICLE with DTC P0456 (EVAP VERY SML LEAK) AND - DTC P0456 is not caused by a loose fuel fill cap (refer to NTB13-097). - An EVAP leak has been detected where the vent control valve mounts to the canister. - The vent control valve O-ring seal is determined to be the cause. ACTION 1. DO NOT REPLACE the vent control valve. 2. Replace the vent control valve O-ring seal (O-ring). - Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 2.

2016-2017 TITAN XD; TRANSMISSION SHIFT QUALITY ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a Cummins 5.0L V8 Diesel engine. IF YOU CONFIRM Any of the following issues: - When cold (transmission fluid below 140°F [60°C]), there is an engine RPM rise (200 to 500 RPM flare) during the 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, and/or the 3-4 shift. - While slowing to a stop, a 2-1 down shift bump is felt just before stopping. - Harsh up-shifts. - Shift shock when lifting your foot from the accelerator. - Gear hunting while driving in city traffic. ACTION 1. Compare the vehicle?s current TCM part number to the part number listed in Table A on page 7. - If the current TCM part number matches a part number listed in Table A, follow the instructions in Table A. 2. Save computer data with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus). 3. Compare the vehicle?s current ECM part number to the part number listed in Table B on page 30. - If the current ECM part number matches a part number listed in Table B, reprogram the ECM. - Write saved data. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

2016-2017 TITAN AND TITAN XD; NOISE FROM REAR PARKING BRAKES IF YOU CONFIRM The rear parking brake shoes are dragging against the drum surface of the brake rotor and causing noise. ACTION Replace the rear parking brake shoes and retainer springs on both sides of the vehicle. - If the parking brake shoes have worn through their lining and scored either the left side or right side drum surface of the brake rotor, or if any other related damage is present, replace the brake rotor on the affected side and replace the disk brake pads.
