  Some vehicles may exhibit poor hands-free liftgate operation after a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch accessory installation. IMPORTANT: When a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch is installed on a CX-90 equipped with hands-free liftgate function, the sensing area is reduced due to the mechanical structure of the hitch. The hands-free liftgate’s optimal sensing area below the rear bumper is shown in green boxes in the image below. Since the left side of the hitch has a 7-pin connector socket, the right side is the most ideal for hands-free operation. For safety, be extra careful performing the kicking motion around the hitch.

  Some customers may complain about a low washer fluid level warning message even though a visual inspection of the washer fluid tank looks like it still has a fair amount of fluid in it. With the CX-90 and CX-70 introduction of the front-engine and rear-wheel-drive layout, the washer tank shape was changed from a vertical to a horizontal type. This makes it look like there is still enough liquid left if viewed from the spout when the warning light comes on.

  Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates when driving at high speeds at approximately 60 mph (100 km/hour ) or more on bumpy roads such as road joints, coarse-grained paved roads or rough roads. This is caused by insufficient hardness of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass. To eliminate this concern, the material of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass has been improved and the tape location has been modified.

  Interior parts made of resin have antistatic coating to prevent dust from sticking on the surfaces, and depending on the conditions of use, the antistatic components may crystallize slightly, giving an appearance of white stains on the surface. To remove the stains, wipe the stained surface with a towel soaked with water mixed with a small portion of a neutral detergent. If the white stains reappear again, simply wipe them again in the same way.

  When the power windows are operated many times without being fully closed, small errors of the window position sensor may accumulate and cause improper operation of the jam-safe function. To reduce the risk of this occurrence, the AUTO function is disabled if the power window is operated 10 consecutive times without being fully closed (turning the ignition OFF and then ON does not reset the counting). If the power window is fully closed before the 10th time, the counting restarts and the AUTO function is not deactivated.
