Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic And System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following DTCs set in the PCM memory: U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received (2017 MY 3.0L and 3.6L Only). P2681 - Engine Coolant Bypass Valve Control Circuit Open (3.6L Only). P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P2299-00 - Brake Pedal Position/Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible. B23C3 - Stop/Start Disable Switch 1/2 Correlation (3.0L and 3.6L Only). In addition, customers may experience the following conditions: A shorter auxiliary battery life. An illuminated Automatic Oil Change Indication (AOCI) light (3.6L Only). Other enhancements included in this update: Improved knock sensor performance.

Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid, Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Phaser For a 2016/2017 MY 6.4L SRT with less than 12,000 miles that have either a P0016 CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT TIMING MISALIGNMENT - BANK 1 SENSOR 1 or P000B BANK 1 CAMSHAFT 2 POSITION SLOW RESPONSE fault codes active and fault code diagnostics lead to replacing a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid and/or a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Phaser, prior to changing any components, please contact Mr. CJ Maines at cell: (248) 576-0725 or email to: [email protected]. Engineering is seeking information on the above concern in an effort to root cause to this issue. If possible, please inquire about the last oil change date, miles and type used prior to calling. If the dealer is located in the Detroit Metro Area, Engineering may send a rep to review with technician. Any information is appreciated. If a response is not received within 15 minutes, then proceed with the necessary repair.

Water pumps are found TNF but the water pump bypass o-ring was pinched resulting in a coolant leak that looks like a failed pump. Please inspect the bypass o-ring before replacing the pump as it is available separate for service.

Washer Fluid Level Sensor Prior to replacing this part due to "Low Washer Fluid" tell tale light on the dash and the washer fluid bottle is full, please perform the this inspection. Inspect the sensor for a fluid coating on the sensor pins. Orange colored rain repellant can cause this fluid build-up. Clean the pins, drain the reservoir, and fill with Mopar approved washer fluid. Check to determine if the issue has been resolved. Continue with repair if necessary. Also, please inform the customer not to use Rain-X in the system to avoid this issue.
