Flash: Transmission Diagnostic And Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with the latest available software. Some customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation, a technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored in the TCM memory: · P061B - Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance. In addition, some customers may experience one or more of the following conditions: · Less than desired low speed drivability and response to accelerator pedal input. · Less than desired 5-4 coast down transmission shift quality. · Less than desired transmission shift quality. · Transmission is slow to upshift after releasing the accelerator pedal.

Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation, the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: · U0402 - Implausible Data Received From TCM - (Transmission Control Module). · P030X - Cylinder X Misfire improvements when P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) is present. · B10EA - Blower Motor Control Circuit High. · B10E9 - Blower Motor Control Circuit Low. · P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. In addition the customer may notice the following condition: · Vehicle shudder at stop/start with A/C on.

The customer may describe that when the brake pedal is released immediately after the vehicle enters Electronic Start Stop Mode (ESS), the engine turns off and wont restart until you shift to park and cycle the key.

Part Description: Accelerator Pedal Issue Description: Vehicle has accelerator pedal fault code. Before replacing accelerator pedal, be sure to follow fault code diagnostic procedures in service manual. Make sure to check wiring and connectors. DTC P2299 is usually caused by a two footed driver and accelerator pedal should not be replaced for this fault.
