The contact owns a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that while driving approximately driving 50 mph the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled. After stopping to inspect under the hood the contact discovered transmission and radiator fluid spraying and leaking within the engine compartment. The contact was informed that both the transmission and radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 147,000.

There was a was a recall issued back in 2010 for the 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Mine is a 2006 but when I put in the VIN number it doesn't come up with a recall. I had the problem that you all are describing my vehicle caught fire from probably a faulty wiring harness.[XXX]. I am the 4th or 5th owner from the vehicle but it says that it was never recalled or it was never serviced. I am taking it to the dealership here today, and just want to know how to contact and who do you contact for more service recall information. INSIDE DOOR RELEASES WILL NOT WORK. HONDA HAD A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS MATTER OF DEFECTIVE DOOR CLIPS. HOWEVER WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER SAID THIS WAS NOT A SAFETY RECALL. HOW CAN THIS NOT BE A SAFETY ISSUE? WHAT HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE IS IN AN ACCIDENT AND DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGERS NEED TO GET EGRESS THE VEHICLE QUICKLY BUT THE DOOR RELEASES WILL NOT WORK. THIS IS AN UNSAFE CONDITION CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.

REAR LOCKS STOPPED WORKING. FIRST STARTED ON DRIVERS SIDE SO THAT IT WOULDN'T LOCK AUTOMATICALLY NOT EVEN WHEN PUTTING IN DRIVE SO IT MAKE IT UNSAFE TO PUT A CHILD ON THAT SIDE THAT MAY UNLOCK THE DOOR IF THE CHILD LOCK WAS NOT ENGAGED. THEN IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE LOCK AS WELL. IT IS RANDOM WHETHER IT WILL UNLOCK OR LOCK AND IT HAS TO BE MANUALLY LOCKED OR UNLOCKED FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN TRYING TO ENGAGE SECURITY FEATURE TO LOCK UP ALL LOCKS MUST BE LOCKED SO IF THEY DON'T LOCK AUTOMATICALLY YOU HAVE TO OPEN EACH DOOR AND MANUALLY LOCK SO THAT YOU CAN SECURE THE VEHICLE.
