- #11592504June 4, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
Radar and multi purpose camera simultaneously failed. Dash lights came on indicating that auto high beams, lane keep assist, forward collision, adaptive cruise control, and braking system where not working properly. I think my safety and the safety of others where compromised with these systems not working.

My vehicle started experiencing issues with hesitation when driving it on the freeway as if it was placed into Neutral when accelerating. As instructed by my Service Bulletin Number 24-010 letter, I needed to take my vehicle to the dealership. I took my vehicle to the Hendrick Honda dealership located at 14201 Richmond Hwy Woodbridge, VA 2219. They are trying to tell me that the recall is an extended warranty and they won't do anything unless the fuel pump goes out or they do a diagnostic that gives them a code that says there is an issue with the fuel pump module. The letter clearly states this is a recall and NOT an extended warranty issue. This incident occurred on [XXX] 2024. I want to make this response known to you guys because if I am being told this others are too. This recall is a safety issue, which can cause our vehicle to lose complete power! If I am experiencing issues as stated with this vehicle this is a concern. I won't be taking my vehicle back to that location, but I want to make sure that this issue is clarified and that their response is being addressed. Thank you for your time. - #11591402May 29, 2024BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The MOST communication cable connector recall causes the rear view camera to die early due to excess electrical noise going through the wire. There are many reports of the rear view cameras dying quickly due to the electrical issue of the MOST cable. The recall needs to cover the camera as well as the cable connectors, as they suffer damage as a result of the poor connection. My camera is still broken after the recall work was completed.

All electrical systems failed at once due to a malfunction in the front camera-sudden failure with no damage to the vehicle physically. Honda refuses to fix or honor the issue. A recall should be required due to the vast amounts of complaints on the same issues. This should not be a financial responsibility on the owner.

Auto start stop feature did not restart engine after I stopped in traffic ahead of me on [XXX] in New Hyde Park. This has happened twice to me and a few times to my wife although she did not report them through this site. All this is after I had reported earlier the same incidents and Honda diagnosed it to the battery needing replacement after 2 years. There is a problem with this feature and NHTSA SHOULD ACT. The fuel Pump has been stalling and acting out since 2022 and received Recall "NHTSA Number: 23V-858 on February 2024. We call Tampa Honda at 813-935-8585 to schedule a recall repair. Tampa Honda informed us that they don't have parts to replace the Fuel Pump. We then, 60 days after February 2024, received a second recall letter, "NHTSA Recall Number: 23V-858 today 18 MAY 2024 and called Tampa Honda for the second time to schedule a recall repair of the Fuel Pump. For the second time, Tampa Honda customer service told us that they don't have parts for the replacement. We informed them that the recall issue ( Stalling and Engine hesitation while driving )with our Honda Pilot 2019 is persistent and that we are concerned about the vehicle's safety.

1ST OCCURENCE: 45000 miles on vehicle. I was exiting a busy ramp from [XXX] to Fort Oglethorpe, Ga and the Idle stop caused the engine to stall and not re-engage upon lifting the break. I was almost hit from the rear. The vehicle had power but would not restart. I had to wait for it to shut itself down and get it to restart. 2ND OCCURENCE: 62000 miles on vehicle. Almost a year and a half from the first occurrence-I was on a very busy [XXX] and came to stop at a red light. AGAIN, the idle stop caused the engine to stall and not restart. The light turned green, and I immediately turned my flashers on. I had a child in the backseat. Cars still began honking and going around us, leaving us to potentially get smashed from behind on a road that many people travel at 55mph plus! Two nice people stopped and were going to try and push us out of the road. The vehicle would not remain in neutral and allow itself to be rolled. It automatically throws itself back into park. It eventually shut all the way down and was able to be restarted. I no longer feel safe driving my children in the vehicle as this is a HUGE safety concern for busy areas and intersections. This feature can be disengaged with a button but has to be done every time the car is re-started, this button can also easily be pushed at ANY time by accident and the feature would re-engage. Honda STILL has NO remedy to permanently disengage this feature. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Auto idle doesn't always restart. Latest incident, I was stopped at a busy intersection. It failed to restart when I lifted my foot. Caused my car to become inoperable, pretty much every light came on, radio stopped. Had to put it in park, turn off the car, and restart it. There were cars coming close to hitting me.
