- #11680222August 12, 2025FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My wife and I were traveling on a county road and without warning, the vehicle skipped twice and cut off in the middle of the roadway in a sharp curve with rain threatening at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET August 11, 2025. I attempted to restart numerous times because we were in the middle of the right lane. The starter would spin but vehicle would not restart. The truck then would not shut off and draining the battery. I called for a wrecker and the Sheriff's Office to keep somebody from hitting us. Before the wrecker came, we connected a diagnostic device to the vehicle indicating it was the fuel pump module.0August 12, 2-25, I called GM Roadside Assistance to be towed to closest dealership. The driver said he was familiar with a lot of GM trucks with the same issue. The vehicle has less than 12,000 miles and was purchased in June, 2024.

I have not had an incident yet. However GM itself has told us that the car has a high probability of having a major problem while driving and it has caused numerous injury related accidents. In fact, they will not let us trade the vehicle or sell the vehicle because the car is dangerous to drive. They also have no timeline on fixing the vehicle, which requires an engine replacement. This is also an environmental problem as the temporary mitigation of the problem (I say mitigation because it does NOT solve the problem) significantly changes the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. GM should be forced to let us trade the vehicle back with a solid valuation of our vehicle as if the problem did not exist. No solution short of putting a new engine in the vehicle or allowing us to trade the vehicle in immediately should be acceptable. NHTSA is aware of the problem but for some reason seems to be ignoring it. When VW had an engine problem, which was not a safety hazard, VW made it right. GM has no intention of doing anything about it.

AS PART OF THE ENGINE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH MY VEHICLE I HAD A REPAIR SCHEDULED AT PARKS GMC IN GREENVILLE, SC LOCATED ON LAURENS RD. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD THE PARTS AND PROTOCOL BUT COULD NOT REPAIR MY RECALL BECAUSE GENERAL MOTORS WAS AT RANDOM SELECTING VIN NUMBERS TO DETERMINE WHICH ONES THEY WOULD REPAIR. THE SERVICE ADVISOR (KEVIN BLACKSTON) TOLD ME THAT GM WAS FIXING NEW VEHICLES FIRST AND THAT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHEN MINE WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN SCHEDULE ME IN TO PERFORM THE REPAIR AND THEN REFUSE TO MAKE THE REPAIR STATING THAT THERE IS NO SOLUTIONS WHEN IN FACT THE SERVICE ADVISOR EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT WOULD BE PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE. HOW CAN GM ALLOW PEOPLE TO BE ON THE ROAD IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE YET HAVE THE PARTS ON THE SHELF TO MAKE NEEDED REPAIRS. THE OTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT THIS DEALERSHIP IS USING THIS RECALL TO [XXX] CLIENTS. A FEW MONTHS BACK WHEN I WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY SENT ME A TEXT MAKING AN OFFER IF I WAS INTERESTED IN SELLING THE VEHICLE. WHEN I WENT IN TO GET THE VEHICLE APPRAISED THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDNT OFFER ME THE AMOUNT IN THE TEXT MESSAGE BECAUSE THE RECALL HADNT BEEN REPAIRED AND AT BEST COULD GIVE ME ABOUT 9,000 LESS. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO SELL MY VEHICLE AND GET ANOTHER VEHICLE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND I AM STUCK WITH THIS POTENTIALLY UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE VEHICLE WHILE THE DEALERSHIP HOLDS ON TO PARTS FOR OTHER VEHICLES. I'm reaching out for urgent help regarding my 2024 GMC AT4, which is currently at Newby Buick GMC in St. George, Utah, with a transmission failure that occurred on Saturday, [XXX]. While returning from a horse show in Ogden, Utah, the truck began to experience severe transmission issues near Santaquin, Utah, around 5:30 p.m. Just before reaching Santaquin, the truck jerked violently three times-so hard that I immediately checked the camera system inside my horse trailer to make sure one of my horses hadn't gone down. That's how intense the jolt was. I pulled into a gas station in Santaquin and called the dealership right away. At the time, I had three horses on board, it was nearly 100 degrees, and I was hauling a large living quarters horse trailer. The service manager was initially unavailable, but he returned my call shortly and advised me to continue driving to St. George at a steady speed if the truck could manage it. He also warned that it might go into limp mode, and in that case, I'd just be traveling very slowly. My husband was on standby in case he needed to meet me halfway, but I was hopeful that I could make it to at least Hurricane, Utah. I was able to access my GMC app on my phone at the time and confirmed to him that the transmission check light was on, and I was receiving a warning notification on the app indicating there was a transmission issue. I was able to limp the truck as far as Hurricane, where my husband met me. We unloaded the horses into stalls and took both trucks into St. George that night to drop the AT4 off at the dealership. On Monday morning, I contacted the dealership for an update and was informed that the issue was likely related to the transmission valve, and that the required part is on national back order-with an estimated delay of two months or more, but no confirmed ETA. This has been my first GMC diesel. I've always driven Dodge trucks. Over a year ago, I saw the new color GMC released and kept telling my husband how amazi INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM O

GMC has been aware of this problem since May 2025. They still do not have a remedy. This vehicle has not been operated for 41 days, since the recall states "The connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components in these vehicles may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure. If the engine fails during vehicle operation, the vehicle will lose propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash." Letter sent to GMC, but this site is not allowing me to download it. The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while idling in the driveway, the steering wheel became inoperable. Additionally, the contact stated that after parking the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the power steering control module(PSCM) needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred while driving away from the dealer. The contact stated that the steering assist warning light was illuminated, and the message "Stop Driving" was displayed. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where it was determined that the steering rack and pinion needed to be replaced; however, the parts were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 5,754.

Code P0777 – "Pressure Control Solenoid 'B' Stuck On" – Reduced Propulsion / Reduced Engine Power Initiated While merging onto the interstate, this code triggered a reduction in engine power, limiting my speed to 35 mph on a highway with a posted limit between 40-70 mph. Due to the limited power, I was forced to drive on the shoulder to reach the next exit and pull into a service station. I verified the code using an OBD-II reader at AutoZone. Subsequently, I had the truck towed approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes back home. The vehicle has been at a GM dealership since June 24th, where the faulty valve body has been confirmed. However, there is currently no estimated arrival date for the replacement part, which was ordered on the same date. To my knowledge, the part has only been diagnosed electronically and has not yet been visually inspected. The dealer plans to remove the valve body and transmission pan once the replacement part arrives. Notably, there were no prior warnings, messages, or symptoms before this issue occurred; this code and power reduction were the first indications of a problem.

I purchased my GMC Sierra AT4 from your Oman GMC distributor called Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan. The vehicle suddenly stops and transmission automatically shift from 'D' driving mode to 'N' natural. First it happened when the vehicle driven 200km only when I took it to dealer Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan, they re-programmed the vehicle and doesn't know what the problem is. Second time happened when the vehicle was driven approx. 1,600 km and 3rd time again happened on [XXX], engine stopped and transmission shifted automatically from D to N, I have to start the engine and continue my journey. Again, I brought the vehicle to GMC dealer Moosa Abdulrehman Hassan. They kept the vehicle for almost one week and unable to demonstrate or diagnose the problem and asked me to collect the vehicle. Its high risk to drive the vehicle, when suddenly the engine stops and the gear shift from 'D' to 'N' while driving. I had option to choose, Ford 150 or Dodge Ram I bought GMC because it suppose to be reliable and have the best safety features. But I really regret now why I have purchased it, there are no technicians in Oman with GMC dealer to identify and fix the problem. I can't drive the vehicle in such condition, risking my life and life of other drivers on the road. The vehicle is parked in my Garage, it new vehicle just completed 1800 km. The the dealer the solution is very simple, either fix the issue, or replace the car or refund my money back, the dealer is not doing any of these. Before taking legal action and reporting it to the court, which will bring shame to GMC reputed brand. I though I'll give my final try to report it to you. You are the manufacturer may be have a solution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11675652July 23, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
GM is recommending that I replace my brakes for the 3rd time within 30,000 miles but cannot explain the irregular wear. I am confident that there is a larger issue causing this is the brakes failing are just a symptom of a larger issue that have failed to address after 6 dealership visits, escalating (twice - due to first advisor never getting back to me) to GM customer care, emailing an executive, regional service manager, and countless hours to fix the safety issue of my brakes (and the larger root cause issue). GM Customer Care Case #[XXX] - BRAKE SAFETY ISSUE 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 (VIN: [XXX]) - 46,000 miles Nov 2023: 1st visit - Brake squeal at 25K. Pads replaced, GM denied warranty. Early 2024: SAFETY ISSUE RETURNED at 30K miles. May 2025: 2nd visit - Worsening brake noise. Dealer couldn't replicate despite video evidence. Recommended $500 repair. Manager acknowledged "irregular/abnormal" wear. June 2025: 3rd & 4th visits - Tech found unexplained "weird line" on pad. Manager Kyle confirmed unusual wear but no root cause identified. June 10: Opened GM case #[XXX] after dealership failures. July 7: GM failed to coordinate promised appointment. July 14: 5th visit - Les Stanford Buick GMC, Ferndale. Tech rode with me, CONFIRMED BRAKE SAFETY ISSUE but offered no solution. CRITICAL SAFETY CONCERN: Recurring brake defect with abnormal wear patterns acknowledged by multiple technicians. Same brake failure pattern occurring 3 times in 18 months poses serious safety risk. Despite 5 dealership visits, video evidence, and confirmed defect, GM refuses warranty coverage while acknowledging the problem exists. Issue remains unresolved - I've exhausted all customer remedies. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2024 GMC Sierra 1500. While driving approximately 75 MPH, the front chrome grille deflector came loose from the passenger side of the vehicle and started flapping. Before I could safely pull over it became detached and flew over the hood of the vehicle striking the front windshield before nearly hitting another moving vehicle behind me. This caused damage to the hood, the other driver did not stop. While the 2024 model vehicle is not listed in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V060000 (STRUCTURE) recalled on the 2022 model, GM lists the same part number for the 2022-2024 models, therefore the recall should include these years as well. The failure mileage was 27,500.

There is an active recall regarding the safety of my vehicle. NHTSA: 25V274 Manufacturer: N252494000 I contacted GM and was told to see a dealer to have my engine replaced. The dealer is refusing to remedy the recall and pointed me back to GM stating that "GM told us not to service this recall because there isn't yet a remedy". I'm stuck with a very unsafe vehicle that is less than 1 year old and the manufacture is refusing to honor their own recall.
