SummaryEngineering Information BOTH Front Low Beam, High Beam, Day Time Running Lamps (DRL) and Turn Signals Inoperative Condition Some customers may comment that the front right hand AND left hand low beam, high beam, DRL, and turn signals are inoperative but the side markers still work as intended. If the turn signals are used, a turn signal bulb out message will be displayed. Cause GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause of the above condition. Engineering has a need to gather information on vehicles PRIOR to repair that may exhibit this condition. As a result, this information will be used to "root cause" the customer's concern and develop/validate a field fix. If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, document the following information and contact one of the engineers listed below: Is there any aftermarket electrical equipment installed on the vehicle? Ask the customer about any aftermarket electrical devices that may have been recently connected to the vehicle. Ask the customer about any high beam use or use of the headlamps in manual mode. Ask the customer about the recent use of the remote start feature

SummaryChanging to Camper Outside Rearview Mirrors Some customers may request to have camper style mirrors installed on their vehicle. The new electrical architecture for the Silverado and Sierra has made swapping mirrors a more involved procedure than with previous models. The recommendation has been divided into three upgrades, depending on which mirrors the truck was built with (RPO DE2, DL8 or DL3). Please follow the correct RPO group below, because not all camper mirrors can be installed on all trucks. After selecting the correct RPO mirror the truck was built with, this PI will aid in determining which camper mirrors can be installed.

SummaryRear View Camera Guidelines Not Present at Times Condition Some customers may report that the Rear View Camera (RVC) guidelines are temporarily not available at times but the RVC will remain on during the concern. Additionally, no related DTCs will be found if this bulletin applies. One example of when this concern may be observed is if a customer quickly starts the car and immediately places the shifter in Reverse while the infotainment system is still in the initial boot up process. Cause This is a result of the RVC image being provided via an alternate robust RVC feed from the Video Bypass Module (NGI systems) or from the radio (BYOM2 and Info 3.0 systems). This alternate robust RVC feed is provided in the event that the primary RVC feed is not available for any reason just to ensure that the RVC image is always present when in reverse. Correction If this concern is experienced and no related codes are present, DO NOT replace any parts as it is normal for the RVC guidelines not to be present when the RVC image being displayed is from the alternate robust RVC feed. If this occurs after quickly starting the vehicle and immediately placing the shifter in Drive, the RVC guidelines can be displayed again in most cases if they are really needed by safely coming to a stop, placing the transmission in Park for a moment, and then shifting to Reverse again.
