Depressed clutch to slow down and turn left. When mostly through the turn shifted into 3rd gear and attempted to accelerate through the end of the turn. There wasn't any acceleration the engine had stopped running. Local shop said that the engine has low compression and will not start.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle began to lose forward momentum. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and stopped the vehicle but did not turn off the vehicle. The contact attempted to shift into reverse(R) but the vehicle only revved while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact attempted to shift into drive (D) and the vehicle revved but did not move forward. The contact turned off the vehicle and had it towed to a dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer and determined that the TCM needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer under Customer Satisfaction Program: 14M02 Transmission Control Module (Power Train). The vehicle had been repaired. The contact was called by the dealer, prior to retrieving the vehicle, and was informed that the actual failure was the clutch, however the dealer advised that the vehicle was no longer under warranty coverage for Customer Satisfaction Program: 19N08 Transmission Clutch Shudder (Power Train). The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

The contact noticed smoke coming from an unknown location of the vehicle and the vehicle started to shake. The contact also stated that the steering wheel became stiff and difficult to operate. The transmission warning light was intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that she received a notification of Customer Satisfaction Program: 14M02. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate as the transmission warning light would intermittently appear on the instrument panel. The vehicle was initially taken to the dealer where the battery was replaced but the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle would fail to start up after multiple attempts as both oil and transmission fluid had begun to leak from the vehicle. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed back to the dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle with a heating system failure. The contact inquired about the fluid leakage and was informed that no fluid leaks were found. The contact was forced to take the vehicle back to the dealer for a third time as the failure persisted and the dealer confirmed the transmission fluid leak and other transmission failures. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

Ford Fiestas such as my vehicle as well as Ford Focus have been shown to have transmission issues and Ford has failed to perform a widespread recall. I bought my vehicle a year and a half ago from a Ford dealership and it has less than 75,000 miles and now has a transmission issue(transmission clutch shudder diagnosed by Ford dealership) that could cause the vehicle to suddenly stop moving or slip gears. No warning lights have come on. While researching this issue I found that a previous lawsuit regarding the failed part on my car did not include my vehicle and many others that have the same issue.

While driving vehicle, engine began to rev and became unresponsive to gas pedal. After slowing to a stop, vehicle began to respond to gas pedal and transmission began shuttering violently. Took to local mechanic and he won’t work on it because he said it is a “pattern problem “. $250.00 to diagnose the obvious. Someone could be killed when the transmission suddenly stops working like that in freeway traffic.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start after several attempts, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed on the vehicle, but no fault was found. An extensive diagnostic test was then performed which determined that the body control module (BCM) was defective. The BCM was replaced. Despite the repair, the check engine warning light remained illuminated, and the vehicle would stall at various speeds. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. SERVICE BRAKES, WHEELS
I believe that it is the ABS brake system I am bringing it to the ford dealer Thursday. The caliper on the front driver side was not working so I changed it still didn't work fluid go's to the ABS pump but doses not come out of that one. When you use the brakes the front passenger side locks up and slides like it's not going to stop it is really bad when the roads are wet and there were no warning signs. It's going to the dealer Thursday.

POWER TRAIN
The Vehicle made a loud noise and jolted, the check engine light came on and the screen said "Transmission fault service immediately." I had the car checked by a local mechanic who advised me to contact Ford customer service since this has been a big issue with the Ford Fiestas. Customer service advised me to take the car to a dealership for testing, there they recommended that I have the entire transmission replaced but said it wouldn't fall under the warranty since it's the clutch that needs replaced. There are numerous customer satisfaction programs for the Ford Fiesta clutch and transmission (Campaign #s 16M02, 19N07, 19N08, & 14M02) but none of them include the VIN number on my vehicle.

My car has been under recall now for the transmission or chip in the transmission. The car keeps jerking, stalls randomly and sometimes won't work. It's been confirmed by the Palatka FL Ford dealership. I originally took it to the Ford in Ocala FL, but they keep refusing to fix it. Now the Palatka one is saying they can't because they don't have a chip. They're refusing to buy it back or work with me on it. I am the original owner, bought it strait off the lot and it was made in 2015. It's only 8 years old, but I've stalled now multiple times on the highway, in traffic on the way to work, and at gas stations. I want this fixed ASAP, according to the laws they have to work with me on this. I just don't know how to get them to work with me.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle with his foot on the brake pedal and off the accelerator, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated to an undisclosed speed. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a fence, where it stalled, and the contact was unable to restart it. The air bags did not deploy. The transmission warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. A police report was filed. 12 individuals suffered injuries, with 7 being transported to the ER and treated for various injuries. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the transmission as well as the transmission control module. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 150,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
The contact owned a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she depressed the brake pedal to slow the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to engage. The contact had to apply pressure to the brake pedal to glide the vehicle to a stop. Additionally, the contact added that the front passenger side door became stuck and failed to open and the front driver’s side door failed to remain closed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact then stated that three days later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, attempting to make an undisclosed turn onto the interstate when she depressed the brake pedal to slow the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to slow. As a result, the wheels caught onto the ground gravel and spun off the road and rolled over, flipping the vehicle to a complete 180-degree turn. The contact sustained bruising to the chest, the right thigh, and a scratch on the right leg. No medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. UPDATE 07/03/2023- Consumer would like update on the report submitted May 2023.

POWER TRAIN
TCM has now faulted twice on my Ford Fiesta. My Fiesta was built 7/9/2015. My TCM was replaced under standard power train warranty in 10/2019 at 47,000 miles. 02/2023 my TCM has faulted again at 68,500 miles and needs to be replaced. Ford extended its warranty on TCMs for their Fiesta models to 10 years 150,000 miles for fiestas built between 11/3/2009 and 6/30/2015. My car is out of the extended warranty build date parameters by 9 days, however now already needing 2 TCM replacements it is apparent my car does have defects and should be covered.

I spent $2400 on this car to have the dual clutch is replaced in the transmission it was supposed to be under warranty. The dealership charged me for it. The transmission on this car gets stuck causes it to go in reverse and blocks it heats up and is undrivable. It has been parked on the side of my house for one year now I have been in a rental car which Ford told me to get and they would refund me back up to $45 a day. I am out $8000 in rental fees. They claim that the transmission control module is recalled for this car.
