There was a buzzing from rear window while defroster was ON. Upon closer inspection, there was smoke coming from the defroster electrical connections while on and there was an electrical arcing sound present.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Service trailer brake system warning will come up on screen when there’s nothing wrong with it. It is completely random and distracts you from driving with 3 loud chimes and no way to change to volume of the chimes. Most times it will come on 5-10 times in a row and then go away. I’ve tried fixing it like countless others but no success. The chimes are so loud and distracting it causes headaches and frustration

STEERING
2015 CHEVY Silverado rack and pinion steering went only after 34,000. There are 900 cars recalled. My vin was not mentioned but the something happen to me, No warning. I did my research and 2014,2015,2016 all effected. It's something to do with the module. I have two small children do you know how frightening this is. How could this me the company said my car is not affected by the vin. but it is. They are not owning up to the situation. Can you help me please?

SERVICE BRAKES
I was backing up at low speed after a 25 minute drive and went to stop, pushed brake pedal and it was hard and didn’t slow the vehicle. I stood on the pedal to stop from backing through my garage door and wheels made a dragging sound and stopped. Put it in drive to check the brakes and same thing happed, brakes hard and no stopping power. Put truck in park and shut it off. Started it back up and brakes were fine.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle entered LIMP Mode with a warning message indicating how many miles before the vehicle would independently turn off. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and was informed that the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank needed to be replaced; however, the failure returned. Over time, the rear brakes, rotors, calipers, and various other parts had been replaced; however, the repairs failed to fix the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 143,000.

The failure occurred while driving at various speeds and while the vehicle was idling. The contact also stated that the vehicle would also rev up while idling. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who replaced the intake throttle box and plenum gasket; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced an engine gasket but the failures continued to occur. The vehicle was later taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified. Hard brake petal at low speed when I'm trying to park vehicle, dealership kept truck for five days, service Rep said, he couldn't get to my truck,. I picked up my truck and I took it to another Dealership they claimed that my brakes problem was completed, Matick Chevrolet Jan 6, 2023 . Problem # ,2 High Pressure Fuel pump needs replacing as per Matick Chevrolet inspection on 1/6/2023 their Mechanic inspected my truck , I have their invoice stating that and two more invoices from ,one from Pep Boy's diagnosed bad Fuel pump and another invoice from Good Year Tires diagnosing bad High Pressure Fuel pump is bad with 45 psi. Pep Boy's also diagnosed my Brakes Vacuum Booster Pump needs replacing and remove and replace another Brake Booster vacuum pump and they listed two different parts numbers, #3 my Electrical System causes my dashboard monitor to jump back and forth all crazy, and anti theft warning, Traction Control System Warning on constantly Please help me to get these problems resolved contact Les Stanford Chevrolet Dealership in Dearborn , Michigan and Matick Chevrolet in Livonia Michigan, they charged me 300 Dollars just to check out my Recall Order and told me it would cost me 3000 Dollars for them to repair my Recalls , Please Help [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving at low speeds (approx 5-10 mph) the brake pedal became stiff and very difficult to stop. This issue happened with no prior warning or indication of the issue. As a result of this issue severe damage to personal property housing and vehicles was nearly missed. Upon research this has been a common issue for GM vehicles specifically trucks and SUVs.

Turned my truck on and rear defrost was active. Sizzling sound started occurring in rear window. Inspected sound and saw a small amber electrical fire starting. Immediately turned off defroster. After about 10 seconds I heard a loud “pop” noise and saw that the rear driver’s side of the rear window was shattered.

It started out with the transmission slipping/jerking at about 50 mph. Then as it progressed it began whining. We were barely able to get it to a mechanic to have it looked at. We were told it was the torque converter which caused the transmission to need to be replaced.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
There are several problems I’ve noticed some I fix myself! First of all, I was driving my truck at night on the country road and all of a sudden it starts losing power shut down on me on a little road with no pull over spots in Kentucky and just dies completely. My service charging system light came on. I worked on this forever. I noticed it. All of my grounds were completely nasty and pretty much not making contact. I fix the ones that I can find only two I know there’s more, I’ve changed the generator three times and the battery once, the problem happened again and again and again the only way I can stop my truck from dying is when that light come on if I got out and I took the negative wire off of my battery and then put it back on it would run again for about another three days and then if I didn’t see it, I’m stranded very dangerous. Finally I took it to my mechanic up the road and he basically did the same things. I did something about a door switch also though not another battery another generator and he added new battery cables so far it hasn’t done it again. Now my truck when starting to slow down, it will vibrate and shake you to death. You hit a little vibration in the road say a rumble strip. This thing will shake you through the roof in about make you run into another Vehicle , also, it’s hard to fill up the gas if you have to turn the gas nozzle almost straight up and down if you’re low on gas to make it except it or you’ll be sitting there for 30 minutes putting gas in your truck. I noticed also all of my wheels are having rough spots on them everywhere and they are rusting into . Another thing that happens this truck eats breaks for breakfast. I have put in the past two years at least have the change the brakes, calipers rotors and all twice a year sometimes three times a year. Also, the trailer brake system light comes on nonstop along with a service stability track on when happen. No Wasey no cruise control. I am a masterelect. Maintain truck it ju

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
While pulling my camper trailer the brake controller failed. It would turn on an alarm (visually) and ring an audio alarm. Every time it would come on, I would stop on the highway and recheck the trailer connection and that was Ok. Every time that I get this alarm, I have no trailer brakes. This has happened for the last 3 years. This happens at any speed and in any road conditions and weather. My trailer is 9000# and without brakes it could be dangerous to stop. especially in an emergency situation. My dealer says it can't find anything wrong with the truck. I went on line to find some solutions to the problem and found out that this is quite common. People were saying that we should report this, so here it is. I have replaced the plug on the trailer and the truck with no luck. The dealer is presently replacing the TRAILER BRAKE MODULE. Thats about $1000. I think it should be fixed for free.

My 2015 Silverado frame has rusted through badly. It's available for inspection. I currently have 74,000 miles on it. My GM dealer said the rust is so bad that I shouldn't pull anything and if I had an accident the frame would fold like an accordion. It is unsafe to drive. If the frame were to break when I'm driving, it could cause an accident with someone else. No one else has inspected it. I purchased it December 2014. I noticed a rust problem soon after. I took it to my GM dealer, and they said there is a bulletin No. P10564K, to fix it. I also attached the service invoice. The fix didn't last a year and I was back at the dealer. They did it again and for several years, until they couldn't because of lack of workers, due to covid. They said they would call when available, but never did. I took it in for service last month and that's when the dealer said I needed a new frame because it had rusted through, and it was rusted bad elsewhere. There is actually a hole rusted through. I've attached photos. The dealer said he has never seen it so bad in my year truck. I contacted GM and they said it was due to road salt and not covered. I've owned around eight GM trucks and cars, and I've never had a problem like this to a frame. There are many complaints about this online. One person said "The Chevy Silverado frame recall was issued due to the frame missing an anti-rust component in the metal that should have been included when the vehicle was made. The frames on them are known to rust excessively and can cause damage to the other components and make the frames weaker." I think GM should be forced to issue a recall on these frames. I can't afford to buy another truck and it's the only vehicle I have. Thank you.
