SummaryThe customer may report that after a specific temperature is selected in AUTO mode, the resulting airflow and temperature are uncomfortable. The customer complaint is subjective and may be difficult to diagnose during a road test. Perform a test drive with the customer both before and after this repair to ensure a thorough understanding of the customer?s concern. DTCs for mechanical malfunction of one or more air distribution control motors may be stored in the air conditioning/heating control unit, J255 (address word 08). At certain outside temperatures and in certain operating conditions, the temperature in the passenger compartment fluctuates. This fluctuation is caused by the unventilated sensor in the air conditioning control panel.

This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. If an applicable Repair Authorization is not followed, the claim will not be paid. SummarySupersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 64 number 12-22 dated July 5, 2012. After one or both of the front door control units (J386/J387) is replaced, one or both of the rear door control units (J3888/J389) cannot be coded or parameterized via an SVM specified vs. actual comparison (spec/actual). The parameter data in the software coding container has changed for the front and rear door control units. As a result, an SVM code is required to update the parameter data for any replacement control unit. Simply running an SVM spec/actual will not code nor update the parameter data in the new replacement control unit. A hardware change suggestion will be provided when an SVM spec/actual is executed. An additional hardware replacement is not required.
