Driver side control arm while driving separated. I heard a loud thump and then the front driver side portion of the vehicle drop down. After further investigation, I have seen numerous vehicles have this exact same issue on multiple forums. I’m glad that I was going slow when this happened because it could’ve been catastrophic if I would’ve been going faster. How is this not a recall?

Seat belt latch system failed on rear middle seat during multiple trips in the car. Could buckle the seat when we left the house but after unbuckling at first destination could no longer latch the buckle. Looked on Google and this is a known issue with Tesla Model Y cars. Had to wait weeks for a repair appointment to fix the buckle leaving us with an unsafe car. No explanation from Tesla why it failed unsure if other buckles will also fail mid trip. Very concerned about the safety of seat belt latches in the event of an accident.

While driving in town and pulling into a parking spot, my Tesla slammed on the brakes so hard it was like we struck something. The car was not in FSD or any assistive driving mode unless Tesla changed it without our knowledge. There were no warning or anything before the car slammed on the brakes. I reported the incident to Tesla and they never responded.

Model: Telsa Y 2022 AWD Long range What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Control Arm bolt fell from Driver side front Wheel. Not available for inspection. Bolt got fixed by Tesla Service Center How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Yes I imagine. Since I was driving in community driveway with less < 10 MPH. I was safe. If this happens in Highway, it would be big risk since Steering gets locked and only one wheel rotates. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? This same issue has been reported mulitple times by other car owners over internet. As per dealer, this issue cannot be produced by him. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Component has been inspected only by the Tesla Service center. No one else looked into it. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings or indications. Car still doesn't know that it has a problem with front wheel or steering.

The rear passenger side seat belt has been defective for the last 12+ months. It first started with it not registering a person was occupying the seat and would not signal that a seat belt needed to be fastened, such as the other side when both are occupied simultaneously. For the last 6+ months the latch where the seat belt buckles would latch inconsistent. As of yesterday, the seat belt buckle fails to latch completely, rendering it useless and requiring repair.

The driver-side rear seatbelt latch has malfunctioned. The spring mechanism appears broken and now will not lock / click the seatbelt in place when inserted. This is a major safety concern that has been documented numerous times specifically for the Model Y. The Tesla mobile service center will come out and diagnose which can take 1-2 weeks for appointment. But when the broke latch is replaced, it will cost +$80 per latch that is replaced.

Tesla’s “Autosteer” function inexplicably and suddenly shifted lanes and sideswiped the other car that was passing me on the right. This defect of the “autosteer” function took control of the steering of the car, even with my two hands on the wheel. I do not know why the Tesla suddenly shifted in the intersection or, more importantly, why it did not detect the other car. I did see the other car approaching before the Tesla swerved into it. I wanted to remain in the left lane because it was the correct and safest thing to do. There were no obstacles ahead of me, and the left lane continued normally.

Hello, My name is [XXX] and I had the 2022 Tesla Model Y performance. I had an accident on [XXX]. Car just took control itself, we hit the tree. It was in a residential area, it happened so fast that I could not react to prevent it. After we hit the tree, the car caught fire, It was a nightmare for me, I had my best friend with me at the time of the accident in the front passenger seat. Both of us were unconscious, by the time I got awake, the car was in flames, my friend was still unconscious but then he got awake after I tried with the local neighbor to pull him out from the car. Unfortunately my friend passed away after an accident in 5 hours. I had autosteer assistance on my car as a subscription. Plus my car had a problem with the side cameras, from time to time it was giving me errors - Door Pillar error message. Cops were trying to get information from the car, but according to Tesla representative my car was out of network from June 30, 2022. And I never got any notifications that my car is out of network. I have a case against me VS State of New Jersey, the prosecutor's office charged me with vehicle manslaughter, at the time of accident i gave a statement to the police officer, in December 12, 2023 it was Nationwide recall on Tesla cars, and this recall it was exactly for the same problem what I described to the police officer at the time of accident, so my problem is, I can't retrieve any information from Tesla regarding what happened at the time of accident, DUE TO TESLA had my car out of network for 25 days prior. I can't prove my innocence because of that I'm facing serious charges right now. My complain is about my car being out of TESLA NETWORK FOR 25 DAYS, WITHOUT PROPER NOTIFICATION ON THE APP OR EMAIL, WHILE MY CAR WAS OPERATED EVERYDAY ON THE DAILY BASIS. On Friday 10/11 at 10:45 a.m I was in traffic on Day Street in Moreno Valley, California. This was the third time I experienced a sudden unintended acceleration with my Tesla. I would have hit the car in front of me, but I was able to swerve into an island on my left to avoid the car. The car went over the curve and stopped. I am unsure what happened but after my prior experiences, I knew how to react. Had I not reacted swiftly, I would have hit the car in front of me. There were no warning messages. I have an appointment with Tesla on Wed 10/26. When this happened the first time, they claimed there was nothing wrong with the car, but I think they are not looking hard enough. I am aware of a voltage problem that other Tesla owners have experienced that can lead to sudden unintended acceleration.

The OTA firmware update required to correct the recall #24V-554 is not available to me. My Tesla control panel says that my vehicle is up-to-date on software. The NHTSA site says it is not. What should I do?

My vehicle started wearing the tire on the left front so I contacted Tesla set an appointment up to have the suspension inspected. They advised they would not cover suspension because it’s a wear item and required me to pay for a suspension alignment which they did and I question the print out on the alignment showing the left front was not in factory specifications, they said it’s within their parameters and they can’t adjust it so I drove the vehicle and came back to have them put new tires on because of the worn inside edge again I question the suspension they said parameters of not affecting the vehicle even though based on specs of the alignment sheet was not meeting The numbers specified by the system again would not do anything to dress. It said it’s not adjustable and it will not affect my tires. I drove the vehicle. Had to replace a new set of tires a year later for the same issue requested them to fix the alignment and they provided me a receipt showing that the suspension is not adjustable so there is an issue with the suspension which causes the tire wear out which can cause it to blow out if I continue to drive it without constantly buying tires .

- #11614185September 12, 2024VISIBILITY/WIPER, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Multiple, random occurrences of hard braking at highway speeds when there was no object or obstruction ahead. In the 2-1/2 years we’ve owned the car this has happened on two lane and multiple lane highways, generally at speeds over 50 mph. Also, the windshield wipers randomly deploy even when turned completely off. They generally work when it’s raining but the delay function is also randomly not in sync with the settings or actual rainfall.

I have only driven my car for 10k miles in past 2 years. I have been on 3 long trips only. Every trip has become scary because one or the other tire turns flat right on busy highways with my little kids in it. I have had one replacement and two repairs on the only long trips I made. No other car I have have had any flat tires till date on the same routes in past 10 years. Tesla vehicles are heavy and they make tires prone to this posing a safety hazard. Tesla should either publicly announce this or give some solution since if known no one would want to take this vehicle with this kind of risk. I have asked tesla technicians and it seems it does not matter what company's tire it is.

- #11613148September 6, 2024VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
On [XXX], traveling westbound from [XXX] on [XXX] using adaptive cruise control. Pick-up truck rapidly pulled up behind and cruise control shut off, stated "unavailable" and Tesla started to brake...manually overrode. Travelled another 1/4 mile and reengaged cruise control after pulling away from following pickup. Pickup caught up and cruise control shut off again. At 4-way stop on [XXX] , rechecked system and then headed for [XXX] on adaptive cruise control. Pickup came up again and cruise control shut off. At next intersection I turned right and pickup turned left...had "electronics" sign on side of truck. Not able to get full name. Question: Is there electronic systems "out there" that can take control of Tesla adaptive cruise controls? I tried to pass this on to Tesla, but wouldn't or couldn't take the above message.
