SummaryFor 2018-2021 EcoSport/Expedition/Navigator, 2019-2021 Ranger/Transit Connect, 2020-2021 Escape/Explorer/SuperDuty/Transit/Aviator/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport/F-150/Mustang/Mach-E the Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics may direct to replace a module on vehicles that use Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). First, an FDRS session must be created on the vehicle prior to removing the faulted module. Once the session is started, run the Programmable Module Installation and replace the module only when instructed by FDRS. Installing a new module prior to starting a scan tool session may result in incomplete module configuration with DTCs U2100, U2101 and/or U2200. Once a session has been started, continue to follow normal WSM procedures to repair the vehicle.

SummaryAll 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles have headlamp low beam pattern with a dark spot dip near the horizon in the left portion of the beam pattern. These dark spots are most noticeable when the high beam is active. Although this dark spot is present by design, this issue may be more perceivable to the customer if the headlamps are aimed too low (dark spot will appear closer to vehicle). The vertical aim should be checked and adjusted upwards if necessary, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 417-01.

SummarySome 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles built on 01-Oct-2020 and through 31-Dec-2020 could experience a whistle noise coming from the front of the vehicle at highway speeds. To correct this condition, adjust the hood rearward. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-03>General procedures>Hood alignment (NOTE: hood to fender gap at base of A-pillar to be no less than 2.5mm to avoid paint chips). Provide approximately 6mm flushness offset between the top of the grille and the leading edge of the hood. After hood adjustment, open and close the hood as validation that there is no contact between the Hood and Fender at the A-Pilar. Conduct a highway drive to confirm whistle noise has been corrected.

Malfunction Service Required, or Pre-Collision Assist Not Available. This may be due to a disconnected or discharged battery, recent PSCM or anti-lock brake system (ABS) module reprogram or configuration, or loss of ABS communication to the PSCM. The Workshop Manual pinpoint test is in the process of being updated and replacement of the electronic power assist steering (EPAS) column is not necessary. SummaryThere is expected to be a low number of vehicles found with a concern door handle. In some of the affected vehicles, the interior door handle may have excessive material present on the door handle cavity. This can cause the door handle cable to bind during operation. If the cable binds, it may result in a door that cannot be opened from the inside. The door can still be opened using the exterior door handle. It is also possible that the door cannot be closed. If the door will not close, the instrument cluster will illuminate with a Door Ajar warning.

SummarySome 2021 Bronco Sport equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a Check Charging System message and/or illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U012D, U0284,and/or U042E. This may be caused by water intrusion into connector C202. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, inspect the C202 connector for signs of corrosion or water residue. If water or corrosion is found, replace the C202 male side connector with pigtail kit (service part number 7U2Z-14S411-KB). To have access to C202 connector remove left front wheel, splash shield and powertrain control module (PCM) bracket.
