In addition, some models may also utilize retainers for passenger side and rear seat floor mats. During Pre-Delivery Service (PDS), follow the appropriate Installation Procedure to attach the driver side, and if applicable, the passenger side and rear seat floor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retainers. SummaryTT: The 2022MY Tundra and upcoming Tundra HV vehicles are equipped with a new generation of audio system, this system uses an entirely new UI (user Interface) and hardware. Items to note (these are examples): - Many services are cloud based. For example, the navigation is called Drive Connect and is entirely cloud based, meaning it requires a subscription after the trial ends. This also means that in areas of poor cellular service, reduced navigation functionality may be normal. - When a customer takes delivery of a vehicle, one of the first things they will do is connect to the head unit by scanning a QR code to connect their account with the vehicle. This is equivalent to enrolling on a 17CY+ vehicle and will result in the activation of remote services and the navigation function. The customer?s profile will load automatically when entering the vehicle with a linked key or BT paired phone. - Audio units must NOT be swapped between vehicles except in rare cases when advised by FTS or TAS. Swapping head units between vehicles can result in one or both head units becoming blacklisted (head unit connected services will be inoperable). - Since the faceplate buttons are no longer located at the side of the display, a new method is used to enter the service menu.

SummaryTSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying our new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: ?Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. ?Proper operation of electrical accessories (including interior light, clock, and radio reset). ?Interior cleanliness. ?Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles are and have always been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular service is essential to the proper maintenance of the vehicle, dealers are required to install a service reminder sticker before delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for service. Your current service reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 8 of ?Final Inspection and Cleaning.?) This bulletin contains the PDS procedures that apply specifically to 2022 model year Tundra vehicles. A universal PDS Check Sheet that contains PDS steps that apply to all 2022 model year Toyota vehicles has been developed. To properly perform a complete PDS, you must complete all procedures contained in this TSB as well as the universal PDS Check Sheet. In addition, if the vehicle is stored for over 30 days, be sure to follow Long-Term Vehicle Storage Guidelines.
