The announcement from October 6, 2021 has been updated to highlight the following important information: ï· Retailers should ensure they are using the most recent version of the CONSULT III operating system. ï· Ensure that the technician has configured the audio/IT unit as instructed beginning with step 27 of the Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). ï· Retailers should assist every customer with (1) removing ALL paired phones,(2) pairing their phone with the vehicle again before they leave the dealership, and (3) verifying Wireless CarPlay is working for iPhone users (See page 2 of this announcement) ï· Ensure that YES is selected on the vehicle when prompted to deactivate Wi-Fi to use Wireless CarPlay (provide owners a copy of the instructions on page 6 of this announcement) Notify owners that some vehicles may have initial location accuracy concerns after the software update. This is not a unique issue for INFINITI and will self-correct within a few days.(see page 7) Please print a copy of the phone pairing instructions (page 6) for the owner to use with pairing other phones back to their vehicle.

The update will bring the vehicleâs software to current production level, improve system overall performance, and enable you to use Apple CarPlay® wirelessly! For more information on Apple CarPlay®, please refer to: INFINITI Apple CarPlay® Features & FAQs INFINITIâs InTouch system is designed to improve the driving experience. Your vehicle is already equipped with Apple CarPlay® to enhance your iPhone user experience with iOS13 and later, but it currently requires a USB cord connection to your phone to use. The CarPlay® dashboard takes things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and puts them right on the vehicleâs built-in display, eliminating the need to remove the iPhone from your pocket or bag. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. PC839 ï· New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified by using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information 2. If a vehicle subject to this client satisfaction activity was part of a retailer trade, the letter associated with that vehicle should be forwarded to the appropriate retailer for upgrade completion.

SummaryREAR HATCH INOPERATIVE OR NOISE WHEN OPENING/CLOSING IF YOU CONFIRM The client states that either the rear hatch is inoperative, or the rear hatch closes after opening only a small amount, AND DTC B2426-23 SPINDLE SENSOR LH and/or DTC B2427-23 SPINDLE SENSOR RH is stored, AND/OR There is a growling type noise from the rear hatch area when opening/closing the rear hatch. ï· DTC B2426-23 SPINDLE SENSOR LH and/or DTC B2427-23 SPINDLE SENSOR RH may also be stored. NOTE: If any DTC other than B2426-23 and/or B2427-23 is stored, this bulletin does not apply. ACTION Replace ONLY the spindle unit that is confirmed to be setting one of the DTCs listed above and/or causing the growling noise. Do NOT replace both spindle units when diagnosis leads to replacement of only one. HINT: Rear hatch spindle units are not hydraulic systems. If a rear hatch spindle unit appears to be leaking, this is normal drainage of water (rain, car wash, condensation) and design intended water management. Do not replace spindle units for suspected leaking.

INFINITI discovered the Ownerâs Manual âMaintenance Schedulesâ section did not include âReplace brake fluidâ in the 30,000 miles/(48,000 km)/48 months service interval section. Clients will be asked to place the supplemental Ownerâs Manual addendum booklet, which includes the updated maintenance schedule, inside the glove box. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** ⢠Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. PC792 ⢠New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified by using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information ⢠SERVICE COMM will only be active for vehicles in new vehicle retailer inventory. ⢠If a retailer receives a supplemental Ownerâs Manual addendum booklet for a vehicle they have retailed, currently have in their new vehicle or pre-owned inventory, or an INFINITI Courtesy Vehicle (ICV) Service, the retailer should either forward the ownerâs manual addendum to the current owner or add the addendum to the glove box of any affected vehicle they currently control. ï§ Ownerâs Manual addendum booklets will be sent directly to affected retailers via United States Postal Service (USPS). They should arrive at retailers no later than March 29, 2021. ï§ Additional addendums may be obtained, as needed, via the INFINITI Marketing Material Ordering site located under Dealer Operations in NNAnet beginning April 19, 2021. ⢠Clients receiving this addendum booklet have been advised to insert this booklet into their glove box.
